George's Bar

No idea what the bar is like as security either don't like older people even although out with younger people or just discriminate for the sake of it, drank in the area for a few year and never had an issue till tonight

Went to George’s comedy night on the 2nd of November, and I can not relay this enough - The bar tender was the most amazing guy and made the whole night so amazing. The comedy was hilarious and the barman added to the friendliness and fun of George’s bar with the best song selections and took a recommendation from me! If you are here living or visiting Melbourne, this a must on your list!

This place created the vibe for us, we stumbled across it after a fizzling out evening and had such a great experience! The owners Dean and Ian made us feel so welcome and accommodated for! Could not say a bad word about the place !

DJ was on and it was a bit quiet ... Limited, ordinary cocktails and wines.

I had fun at it, it's not as Seinfeld as I thought it would be but still cool.

We were having a great night but unfortunately we had absolute tragic service from one bartender. On May 8th I ordered 4 tequila shots and the bartender was extremely rude and had the audacity to give me attitude for asking for a lime with my tequila shots. She repeatedly told me I was rude for not saying please... The entire experience was very unpleasant. Do not take it out on your paying customers if you are having a bad day. I will not be back!

Best free comedy nights I've ever been to. Amazing lineup every week, intimate setting. Good meeting spot for drinks + snacks the rest of the week too.

A nice peaceful ambience where you can have amazing conversations and the drinks are also good. Plus, the bartenders are so nice and they really welcome you. A must go if you wanna skip the loud and the sticky floor zones.
