48 Macquarie St, Barton
Average food , staff are abit rude at times. wait till after 2pm to get the afternoon box much cheaper.
The tonkatsu (crumbed pork cutlet) ramen I had is one of the worst I've ever eaten. For $15.50 I expect a much, much better performance. The broth is the base of any good ramen, but this broth was oily and tasted like it was made using a powdered chicken noodle soup packet. The toppings were totally wrong - no Bok Choi, no seaweed, no egg, and lettuce instead of cabbage, which was buried under the noodles so that it was wilted half to death. The broccoli, snow peas and carrots had clearly been steamed rather than cooked in the broth, so they were totally flavourless. Worst of all, the oyster mushrooms (which are generally not included in ramen) had contaminated the flavour of the broth and noodles. Being someone who dislikes mushroom, I would have appreciated this being noted in the description on the menu, rather than coming as an unpleasant surprise. The noodles themselves were cheap and overcooked, and were only 1 step up from 2 minute noodles. The pork cutlet itself was fine, but slightly chewy and overcooked in spots. The fish cakes were also fine, but nothing to get excited about. I would honestly give this place 1 star based on this dish, but I would like to hope their other dishes are not this bad.
Really ordinary food. The teriyaki chicken was barely edible.
Best lunch Place in Barton. Fresh sushi and hot food, clean and nice place. Twice a week for me😋
Very good Chinese food and fresh Sushi. Reasonable price! Will definitely come back !
Great little place for a quick lunch or takeaway
Love the sushi
Pretty good offering of sushi and warm dishes. However they sell out of sushi quite quickly so be sure to get in early. On the quality of sushi, it's OK for Aussie standards. The fish is generally good quality but there is far too much rice which can have a very strong vinegar flavour.
Worst laksa ever! The broth was basically cold and extremely fishy (I had ordered a chicken laksa), devoid of any vegetables apart from a few very large cabbage leaves. Plain awful laksa for $16.50!
Decent place. Not bad. Nigiri has two lumps of rice per sushi, which is weird.
