Gelatissimo

Definitely deserves better than 3.7 ⭐️ average here. It's the 2nd best gelato chain in the east coast of the country and has been around for a long time. Their flavours have been fantastic as always. On this occasion it was chocolate sorbet and wicked double choc brownie. Both great flavours and I would highly recommend them. They allow taste tasting before you buy as well. Regards @fooderarri

This place used to be one of where must stop-by places in David Johns Department. It was because of a quality of this brand Ice cream and unchanged taste. However, recently some disappointment with a quantity of Ice cream has been noticed - Small amount in comparison to not only other branches of the same Gelatissimo brand but even other brands. It was understood and considered as temporary, but it maybe not as a result of persistency even today. Consumers know and can feel the difference at the end of the day.

Friendly staff who are quick to serve. They are happy to let you sample flavours to help you decide. Plenty of flavours to choose from and often on a high rotating basis. Often there are new seasonal flavours. Join the Gelatissimo membership and earn points for every purchase. The points are converted to cash to discount your future purchases. Membership will supply you with free upsize which you will be notified by email.

Pretty good gelato, only comment I’ll say is pls provide more spoons for your customer if you see a Mum sharing a 3 scoops ice cream in a cup with 2 kids.

Unfortunately will not be going back. Portion size was extremely small compared to other places. I mentioned politely that the portion was small and to please have some more. The staff reluctantly added slightly more and acted in actively rude and unsociable manner thereafter. I understand that it was late, workers would have been tired, and that portion size is likely a matter of company policy. However, the service was just inadequate. $7.70 for icecream that we could have bought at coles for $3 in a 1L tub. Used to love this place. Looks like it’s gone downhill. Plenty of better and cheaper ice cream places in the city than this one. Via Dolce, Messina, Frugii are all close by and offer better icecream at a similar or lower price.

Brilliant location top of all the action - perfect for a breather. The gelato flavours were inventive and absolutely gorgeous. Dense and indulgent. Our only gripe was that the tables were infrequently cleared/cleaned. Understandable since it was rush hour - but it really detracted from the whole experience.

I went there with several friends over the weekend, and we all left feeling extremely uncomfortable. The male employees seem to have an issue with their sight? Instead of looking at our faces when we ordered and paid, the two male employees glared down our tops and gave us creepy smiles. If the staff are not aware of where the eyes are on the human body, they can always google it. (Oscar Wylee is also just two shops away if they need an eye test) While they’re at it, feel free to look into various articles on how to NOT mansplain, perv and make women feel uncomfortable. Women aren’t standing for this nonsense, so stop behaving like we’re in the 1950’s. P.S Google forces us to give at least one star which is unfortunate.

.. I like this ice cream brand but this perticular branch has very rude customer service. I have had two back to back same experiences. Never coming here again.

Waited in a short line for over 5 minutes because of slow servers behind the counter, only to get rudely told they had run out of stuff for the special they were advertising for Winter in the City.... no signs that say this.... no apology.... no alternate offer.... just bad service
