Gaijin Eatery

Went for lunch today, but in my typical fashion, ordered exactly what was in the website photos. Crispy chicken on rice with an iced coffee. It was exactly what I had hoped for. The staff were really engaging, and it was obvious people had made this their regular haunt. I wish there were more independent places like this around. The presentation was excellent and priced reasonably. The experience is best had dining in - however given their location, they are somewhat limited in dining space. If I find myself in the area and a bit puckish, I know where ill end up - trying to 'clock' the menu.

Best food in town! Crispy chicken and rice so simple but so delicious!

Walking into the store reminded me of some of the restaurant smells in Japan, friendly and fast service and the food was great. Convenient location in the middle of town away from the elements.

Nice small eatery, cosy ambience. I was there about 2:15pm so it wasn't busy. Ordered the beef pho. Dark broth, generous serving of corriander and chilli. Tasted good, so glad Bendigo now has pho instead of having to drive to Melbourne to satisfy a craving.

I had the most wonderful meal at Gaijin! The pork bao buns are incredible. Everything on the menu is delicious and made to perfection (make sure to save room for the doughnut balls at the end - they are the perfect dessert!). The staff are very friendly and the atmosphere is cosy. I will definitely be making this one of my regular eateries!

First time order: crispy chicken(ala Korean), banh mi (with beef) and crispy chicken with rice...all super delicious asian street food style! Delivery on time as well. Recommended! Always support local businesses 🙂.
