Frogmore Creek

Absolutely lovely wine. The Pinot Noir 42 was our favourite. The views are to die for and the restaurant looks amazing even though we didn't stay for food. I suggest booking ahead for food, it looked busy. They have a lovely selection of sweets and treats as well and some local liqueurs.

Great winery with a good selection of wines and an amazing view. Whilst we didn’t eat here the food looked amazing and will ensure our next visit is for lunch.

Frogmore has a stunning setting – an old building looking down in the vineyards to the water below. The main business here is the restaurant, which take up most of the building, with the wine tasting at a long bar from the door to the restaurant. We only came here to taste and while it was not on the list, they were happy to let us try the better Riesling than the one on offer, and as a result secured a sale. They may have been busy, as we arrived at noon, but it seemed the people running the wine tasting were clearly distracted, kept switching places, and were more focussed on looking after the diners. Worth a visit, but if you’re not eating, maybe avoid the busy lunchtime.

I found from my first email enquiry to finishing our meal with dessert, they were so helpful. Prompt with replying to my emails about gluten free for my coeliac husband and booking for our day of arrival. Our waiter was a lovely friendly young man and helpful with accommodating our need for gf and nut free. Then the food. Just wow. The 3 of us had the perfect start to our holiday. It was a taste sensation with a stunning view that will be hard to match. Pre lunch we had fun wine tasting with the gentlemen who was informative with a great sense of humour. Thank you Frogmore, we'll be back.

Vineyard in an awesome setting with beautiful views. We dropped in for a wine tasting & wished we had come for lunch, food looked great! Very friendly service with great insight in the wines of the region, loved their Riesling & pretty good Pinot Noir. Only 25min out of Hobart it’s definitely a must.

We experienced some of best presented and most amazing dishes that we have ever tasted. The Beef Carpaccio, Mushroom Arancini and Chorizo & Octopus Tortellini dishes were an absolute standout. We were tempted therefore to try the dessert which was also of an extremely high standard. The service was pleasant and informative, prices appropriate and the table near the window for two was ideal. Overall a wonderful experience. Highly recommended.

Beautiful venue and the oysters were fantastic. They were huge and the vinaigrette was delicious! The service could use a bit of a polish (we were swapped between 3 people during our short tasting) but, overall, a good experience.

I was completely ignored when trying to do a tasting. Whilst generally the experience was generally positive, I was actively ignored at the bar when trying to do a tasting. I almost walked out after five minutes standing at the bar whilst the lady actively served the two couples next to me. It was just unacceptably rude, we were not even acknowledged... That said, we eventually found someone who served us who was truly pleasant and held strong knowledge about the wines. Lunch was also really positive. The views and maintenance of this vineyard are simply top notch. Overall worth examining but not a service based standout in this region for me.

We always enjoy our meal here. Attentive and friendly staff with great food. We will return again.
