At Foreign Return their focus is on regional cuisine, presenting you with lost recipes with flavours and dishes that challenge stereotypes and re-define Indian food for modern times. They use fresh seasonal Australian produce which was evident in strong flavours especially in the blue swimmer crab curry.The venue is beautifully appointed and decorated, everything tells a story and the staff are passionate to talk you through their philosophy, I believe this gives diners an appreciation for the culture and flavours, resulting in an enhanced dining experience. Overall we had a fantastic time, it has a great vibe and they cater for everyone, whether you pop in for a cocktail and a snack, or an all out banquet they've got you covered.

Amazing food, service and atmosphere! All the food we had was delicious and of quality! Flavours were all perfectly paired! Cocktails were also amazing - perfect mix. Loved everything about this place from the decor, the music choices, but above all the lovely friendly staff and the amazing food. You felt like you were walking into a friend’s or family place for a good time and a delicious home cooked meal. Highly recommend and we will be back!

We walked past this place and decided we would try it. Let’s just say my partner loved the curries and said it’s the best he’s had in Australia so far. We’re definitely coming back and would highly recommend this place if you’re looking for beautifully spiced curries not your run of the mill stuff. The staff were really helpful and got us sorted with a spot and helped explain the cocktails and beers - these were really well done also! Definitely making a booking as this place will do really well! Worth the trip over the bridge 👏

Brilliant dining experience with friends tonight! Felt so welcome from the moment I stepped into the restaurant. Service was amazing throughout the night. The whole ambiance, decor and energy is fantastic. Delicious food with interesting and unusual flavour combinations. Also a great vegan menu available too! Will be back again!

Fantastic Indian restaurant, one of the best in the area. Amazing food, lots of options for dietary requirements, amazing cocktails (try the Marigold Sour) and delicious desserts! Fantastic modern feel to classic dishes, with wonderful decor and atmosphere. Can't wait to try more! Great staff as well, very helpful and knowledgeable. Loved the taro root entree.

What an amazing time we had at foreign return! We were a large group and honestly I must say - Great food and even greater service. The lady managing it is really nice and funny. Love her and loved the entire atmosphere at the restaurant. Thumbs up to the entire team. You’ll be seeing us very very soon.

The food was amazing. The flavours were great and had unique Indian dishes with native Australian ingredients. Such beautiful and friendly service and the chef even came out to check if the food was okay and if we had any special requirements. Loved the ambience! Totally worth a visit.

What an excellent experience. My special thanks to Gaurang and the team for their gracious and generous hospitality; we went to celebrate my mother’s birthday and she was looked after from start finish. The food is beautifully spiced and nuanced; the ambiance stunning and service impeccable. Add a really well considered wine list and crafted cocktails; the team are onto great things. Well done.
