“THE WORST TAKEAWAY FOOD IN CANBERRA” I grew up in Florey and always had fond memories of Florey takeaway I think “Eddie” was the guys name. He was always friendly and the quality of food was always great.. Today Florey takeaway is “the worst takeaway in Canberra” The staff are rude and the food is garbage. the scallops had more batter then potato and the chips were horrible. It all ended up in the bin. How can you run a takeaway and not even know how to cook chips and scallops.

Thank you for going above and beyond. I ordered through Menulog and the driver didn’t collect. These guys cooked me fresh food and delivered themselves. Lovely hot crunchy tasty seafood basket and sweet potato and potato scallops.

Always a good experience. Sweet Potato chips are always cooked to perfection and a good mix of food on the menu.

I have lived in Florey for 20 years now and have seen this takeaway go through several owners. These owners would have to be the worst thus far (in my opinion). Staff are rude and the food isn't always great either. It was so good when we first moved here all those year's ago when there was a husband and wife team and the customer service was awesome! I think one of the original staff- Katie - still helps out there from time to time, she's lovely! I've always believed in supporting your local but when you get banned for complaining about not receiving what you ordered and them coming out to my car and confronting me in a threatening way, do they really think I'm gonna lose sleep over it! Good luck staying in business when you treat your customers so rudely, especially the locals. It's sad really because food businesses are doing it so tough, you would think this one would try to keep their customers happy. Oh well, my wallet is doing the walking and taking now!

Been going there regularly just short of a year now, If you get the lady (Katie), you will have fantastic food, but the other two guys are incompetent. Don't even bother going in if you see them running the shop alone, they don't listen, mess up orders, and smirk condescending/rude remarks to each other about customers when they think no one can hear them. (As someone with 9 years experience in hospitality, it has happened enough to see a pattern, a few bad days are understandable but this is negligence now.) As for food quality and pricing, It varies on what/who you get. Generally it's a bit over priced but certain things like chips & gravy and seafood basket are worth it. This is my chicken schnitzel burger with 50 cents worth of extra lettuce, prepared by the two guys, hate to see what without extra lettuce would look like. Bread was on the edge of stale, chicken was okay though. In conclusion, with a heavy heart I leave this review, it can be a fantastic place that makes you want to go everyday, but also a horrible place that leaves you thinking why you even bothered, sadly it's all luck of the draw.

Absolutely disgusting food, served with an attitude that you get what you get. Complete and utter disregard for the customer, treating any feedback defensively and unapologetically.

Food for the most part is freshly made and prepared can't beat fresh made scallops

Might have been a bad day for Florey Take Away considering their mostly positive reviews, but today I received some of the worst take away food I've had in a long time. Battered sav had an overcooked and very oversalted sausage with dense batter, and the hot dog was also overcooked, dry, and had a single piece of that processed individually-wrapped cheese that was unmelted, with about one teaspoon of sauce for the whole hotdog. Meat dim sims were good. I'm only giving a second star because it was technically edible and I require sustenance to survive.

A regular customer for years because they're good.
