44 Johnston St 3065, Fitzroy
Authentic Indian with quality ingredients. Highly recommend.
Seriously good Butter Chicken. Layers of flavour from the tandoori chicken pieces to the buttery creamy sauce. I could happily relish Fitz Curry Cafe's Butter Chicken every day . A must must try !
Chose this place because it was conveniently across the street from the venue. We felt very welcomed on entering, the food smells were amazing, the staff friendly and the decor, while very simple, was comfortable. Plenty to choose from on the menu. I'm not an Indian cuisine expert, but I know what I like (😉) and this food was seriously good. Generous serves, great flavours, good quality and really great value for money. We enjoyed being able to watch the cooking happen, but having an open kitchen meant it was quite warm in there, would be lovely on a Winter day. This one is going on our favorites list.
Love this place. The food is delicious and the service is tops. A Fitzroy institution from way back.
Paneer felt uncooked, was very hard and tasteless. The order was wrong, brought a samosa instead of pakoras.
Cheap, good curries. Entrees left a lot to be desired, so I'd recommend going straight for the mains
Nice and cosy restaurant. Very affordable and great food. Good authentic options. Highly recommend.
Great food well priced. Licenced and BYO. Simple restaurant friendly staff who are happy to let you catch up will friends for as long as you wish. Recommend it for a casual catch up with friends.
The dhal is fantastic!!! Garlic naan so good. Highly recommend 👌
Oldest Indian resturant in Fitzroy and I can see why. Some of the best Indian I had in years.
