Fish & Chippery Mooloolaba

I've been coming here for years and the service tonight was very poor. I ordered three grilled fish, two burgers and a large chips. When I placed the order, I was told it would be a 10-15 minute wait. I received my food after a 45 minute wait, which is quite a large difference when you are waiting with a two year old. The fish was fine/average. The burgers were nothing special. The chips were the most disappointing part of the meal. Soggy, barely seasoned chips that tasted of mush. I would recommend you go 100 metres up the road to "crumbed or naked" instead. The photo below compares crumbed and naked on the left, with chippery on the right. The chips on the left are crispy, hot, and well seasoned.

Ordered family pack. Calamari and prawns were good buy the battered fish was really bad. No seasoning, very blend. The chips no seasoning too. Asked then to put chicken salt but didn't add. Will never go back.

Very disappointed. I haven’t ever left a local fish and chip store hungry until today. My partner and I ordered the flathead ($12) and snapper ($13.5) and it was hard to believe how tiny these meals were. The skinniest portion size you could get. Definitely won’t be returning.

the serving sizes are way too small and i need more food. the service was bad, they were very rude to me and told me they did not want to serve me. do not recommend ❗️❗️❗️

My friends and I had lunch here. There is an outdoor seating area with views to the ocean. The service was good and everything seemed clean. Two of us ordered snapper and salad and one ordered salmon, chips and salad. The salad was a generous serve, very fresh and crisp, the chips were fine, the salmon was fine, but the snapper was tasteless and very crumbly. This was disappointing. As salmon is an oily fish, it is very forgiving, so it's hard to overcook. Therefore, I'd recommend going with the salmon if you want to be sure you will enjoy your meal. The other elements of the meals were fine and the location is good. Getting good fish seems hit and miss at many places.

Freshly cooked fish and chips, just as they should be. Perfectly crumbed fish and beautiful chips. Ate every single one. Well worth a visit.

So good! Will be back for more! The batter on the fish was done just right, not too greasy or heavy (low and behold, you could taste the fish!) and the hot chips were exactly like hot chips should be - some a little golden and crunchy, but also some a little soft and tasty, with the right amount of salt. Excellent value for money too!

The food was undercooked and the service was terrible. Waited far too long to get an undercooked piece of fish and chips and when i asked why it took so long i was treated very disrespectfully. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Great food and service. The calamari is very tasty and tender. I highly recommend the Fisherman's Pack.

Absolutely disgusting. This was the worst fish-and-chips I have ever had the fish was the greasy and stuck to the bottom of the Box. The chip tasted old and soggy. This place is very expensive. Would not waste my time there again.
