Don’t bother about booking here. It’s no special to anywhere else. The fire is indoors not out. They will give your table you booked 4 hours prior and make you feel bad about asking the people they gave your table too.

Great and warm place! The staff was reactive and efficient. Their wine list is pretty well designed with nice wines from the Hunter Valley. I’ll definitely come back for some drink and casual dinner. Merci for the experience and see you soon. Pierre from WorldWine 🍷🌏.

Had a great day in the Hunter and wanted a quiet and simple dinner back at the hotel so thought we would just grab a “wood fired pizza” at the hotel lounge. My wife and I ordered 2 $24 pizzas and we were served the worst pizzas we have ever eaten. I’m 99% sure the waiter just grabbed 2 frozen packet pizzas and threw them into the oven for 10 mins. They were cold, had minimal cheese, bland toppings and were clearly on pre-made frozen bases. We were starving but could barely finish a couple of slices. We were just so disappointed.

my partner and i visited today - not guests of the hotel - for a drink, during the school holidays. the bar was rather quiet, which is our preference, and much preferred over the first venue we tried to get a drink at which was booked out for at least another two hours (the goldfish place). we were promptly greeted at the bar by a lovely girl who quickly had as seated (seats chosen by us) and supplied with a drink menu. as quickly as we were seated we were given ice cold water and our orders were taken. we had a great time enjoying the atmosphere of the bar / lounge while we waited for our drinks to be made (which was not long). it's a very cosy and quaint place, we both really like it. a different but just as lovely girl delivered our drinks - a chilli margarita each. d e l i c i o u s! really delicious margarita, and i frequently order margaritas when we go out for drinks. i thought it was the best margarita i have had in some time. the chilli kick had the perfect amount of heat. yum. we really enjoyed our drink and stay this afternoon - especially since everyone seemed to be very Covid-Conscious. we will definitely be back for another drink soon.

Good vibe and food. We tried fries and pizza. The pizza lacked the wood fire taste, but was still worthy.

Beautiful location to stay, stunning garden!!

Food is fantastic, service is absolutely atrocious, ignored multiple time at the door, once seated and again after we eventually received table service by all the staff. Food order was mixed up despite confirming three times and the whole experience left a sour opinion of the hotel at the end of our trip that we ended up cancelling our lunch at the hotel for the next day and leaving early.

Fantastic experience, quite, intimate, relaxing. The girl who looked after us was beautiful and accommodating and the food was lovely. Will be going back again. Thankyou Epoche lounge.

Brandon, affectionately known as Brando, was an absolute joy to be served by. He shared with us his signature cocktail, a creamy whisky concoction, which was like nothing we've ever tasted. His watermelon mimosa, a favourite, he said, of the local cocktail connoisseur (suspected alcoholic), was delicious also. Brando bantered, oh how he bantered; so much so we missed the bride's first dance. But it was worth it. In short, great service, delicious cocktails. He is truly an asset to any alcohol-serving establishment. Thanks Brando, good luck in Germany.
