Absolutely delicious fish & chips. The fish baramundi & sweet lips, was fresh, large serves, perfectly grilled. The chips were chunky, crunchy on the outside, fluffy & soft in the centre. The calamari was so tender. The serves are huge... we could have just had one serve of chips between two. Service was quick & friendly. They even asked us if we needed our food to be gluten free, we don't, but how good is that! It was so busy, all tables were full, people queued down the street for takeaways. I think we counted 60 people seated & in line. By far the most popular fish & chip shop out of the three along the foreshore.

A premium location. Really tasty barra, perfect chips and the best calamari. Finally made it to doug's today. mothers day was madness, no parking for blocks and many many people spilling out, so came back today. Steady pace customers for a Monday. Exciting menu to pick from. Cold drinks in fridge and a brisk coffee service.

Fantastic hot + cold seafood for two plate. Fresh, hot + tasty. A lot of people eating in, + waiting for takeaway, but a surprisingly short wait for our order. Definitely a good choice 👍👍

Doug's Cafe is consistently great! Helpful and accommodating for gluten free and dairy free requirements. Great serving size too :-) The kids know this Fish and chips shop by name and ask for it!

Amazing food. Quick service. Great customer service. Helpful and attentive staff. Only a few places do sit and dine, but the beach is just on the other side of the shop :)

The fish and chips here are truly phenomenal! Super well battered fish that somehow are not oily. Fresh scallops and generous serving sizes for chips. A bit of a long wait but I can see why it’s so popular.

Amazing fish and chips! Generous sized portions and really tasty battered barramundi! We got the battered barra and chips and hallumi and prawn salad - and the salad was MASSIVE! Safe to say we weren't left hungry! Chips were tasty also, nothing worse than bland soggy chips, but these were seasoned and crispy. Honestly couldn't fault our meal and it was only $30 👌

Popular and busy even on a Friday afternoon. Very generous serves and fresh seafood options. Kids menu. Pull up a seat at the table bar facing the waterfront and watch the world and their dogs wander by.
