Cruzin' in the 50's Diner

Lovely food and staff

Food isn't bad here. Coffee is average. Service is bad. On multiple trips have not had a good experience. Last trip was over an hour from,sitting down to being served food. Nobody came to take order until returning to counter 30 minutes later asking why. Friendly enough just no plan on how to serve customers in order. Tables seated either side of us afterwards had orders taken before us.

Same as in the movie and it's so amazing. I love it very much. And I just had the drink 🍸, it's not bad. A lot of collection!!!!

Went for lunch on Friday as a party of four. The interior is great and heaps of effort has been made to fill it with nostalgic 50s related items. Unfortunately that's where the positives kind of end. Understaffed, with seemingly only two people working. Approximately 14 customers were in attendance. Some people went up to the counter to order whilst others waited for a waitress to attend to them and take their order. We didn't know what to do, so after waiting a while we went to the counter and ordered. After approximately 20 minutes we recieved our food. The toasted sandwich was fridge cold. The cheese wasn't even melted. When brought up with the waitress she dismissed it being a problem and explained that it had been in the fridge and the pineapple makes it cold. Its a TOASTED sandwich not a fridge sandwich! She offered to take it back, but we were hungry and time poor so we chose to just finish it and go. We should have been offered a replacement or refund. Chips were good and crunchy, and southern burger was ok. None of us would go back again.

Awesome little diner with such a groovy vibe. Has finger foods too which is awesome. Burgers, Fries, Wedges, Milkshakes, Sodas, the whole lot! And the prices are amazingly cheap for what you pay for. Best place to eat in deloraine.

Always a nice place to stop for a bite to eat on the way back home. It does speak volumes when you know you need to book to secure a spot. Thanks again, Jenna & Andrew Miles

Appreciate this covid savvy diner however for the price, I found the food left wanting. We went for breakfast pancakes but were alluded by nachos. So anchor to share, which we had a while ago, used to come in a basket and be big and delicious. Our serve came in a soup bowl, were far from generous - and we had to order a bowl of wedges to starve the hunger . No no, not huge eaters.... fairly tasteless and little cheese - a bit of a disappointment. Having said that, its a delightful space. Perhaps we simply made a bad menu choice that day.

Great place for a good lunch , after a longish ride on the motorcycle I decided to stop at the 50,s Dinner in Deloraine for lunch . What a place , chocked full of 50,s memorabilia and a fantastic atmosphere , good service and a really unique way of serving your food on car hubcaps WOW . Prices were what you would expect so no surprises there but it was rather busy and I had to take a seat outside , no problem as it was good weather but do yourself a favour and book ahead to get a table inside or even at all as it is obviously very popular . Only problem was is that it is not easy to find , just off the main drag down a side street with only a a small road side sign pointing the way , very easy to miss . But given this is the only draw back I will be definitely making a return visit

What a fantastic throw back to the 50's! All you could hope to find in reliving the good old days! Experience a time when good music and lime spider was all that mattered in life. Definitely worth a visit
