4/14 Buckingham St, Surry Hills
My Shaksouka was somewhat expensive. However, it was enormous, delicious, healthy and filling. The coffee here is simply superb. Wait staff were well humoured, relaxed and professional despite a busy morning. Top class stuff.
Best coffee in Sydney to date. Amazing desserts. A bit over priced at 60 for 2. But still worth the spend. Very conveniently located. Beautifully designed and maintained
Average experience today on a public holiday. Sadly the coffees (long black) were way too hot so not much flavour though at least not burnt. While we didn't order food the meals of other diners looked good. Cafe was not too busy when we arrived but soon filled up. Staff were reasonably attentive given how busy the cafe was. Note on weekends there is a 10% surcharge, 15% surcharge on public holidays and may be a credit card surcharge.
I got the mushroom medley for breakfast they were very busy but I didnt have to wait long. Nice and fresh
Food was exceptional. It's truffle season so we made the most of the truffle menu and ordered truffle eggs Benedict, French toast and a few other things. The taro and the red velvet latte is a nice end to the meal if you have a sweet tooth. The day we went (Saturday 9am) it was pretty busy so beat to go earlier if you want a more chilled breakkie, otherwise it gets slammed busy. Despite our group being a group of nine in the end, our food pretty much came out all at the same time. Food was amazing and next time maybe we will try the fritters which the staff had recommended. If you are hungry this is the place for you, the portion sizes are huge so although the price is slightly more expensive than other cafes you get great quality food and decent portion sizes. A lot of us struggled.
Reasonably priced dishes for the quality you get! Would recommend to try the shakshuka, a brunch meal perfect for those winter days. Interior is well decorated, the place actually looks bigger than what it seems because of this.
Great outing here with good food and service. I went for Italian pasta and salad which was hearty, yummy and well presented. Coffee was very good too. Also they sell some stuff to take away in the fridge; we took some falafel away.
If you are looking for the most delicious and friendly cafe in Surry Hills, this is the place to go. The well-roasted coffee, breakfast menus and interiors were captivating. Open 7 am, very clean and tidy and comfortable. This place has a bar, so I think it would be nice to come in the evening. The small size toilet was clean and fragrant and very pleasant. There is plenty of parking nearby. Brilliant cafe where you can relax.
Some of the best coffee in Sydney. I have enjoyed Cook & Archies for a few years now. The standard menu items are always great (the corn, zucchini & halloumi fritters, strapatsada eggs, and chilli eggs are top notch), and the specials are always outstanding. Hard not to take something home from the pastries window with some great gluten free options available.
Very friendly staff and tasty brunch options. Warm and lively atmosphere. Their coffee in a cone is instagramable.
