Coffee was okay
didnt have what was on the menu.
Busy but easy going and great food/coffee + vegan friendly!
I've come here multiple times and the quality of always consistent. Great coffee and alternative options. Food wise the toastie and vegan Pad Thai are really tasty. You won't miss the noodles and it's pretty filling too. Good price / quality ratio too.
Great to duck in here for a delicious raw treat. After frequenting Elwood almost weekly when we used to live in Melbs it's been a long while since we have enjoyed the sweet taste of Combi's caramel slice. And it bought back all those delicious memories in one bite. Really cool vibe, lovely staff and great food! What's not to love?!
My daughter loves the food here but I had poached eggs and they were just ok. The acai bowls looked good
Amazing vegan breakfast! Had the vegan toasty and pancakes both delicious. Ordered these takeaway and sat by the beach! So good will not disappoint.
The environment and music @ Combi are a vibe. Unfortunately, the staff seem undertrained - customer service was poor. Not very welcoming. Table of 5 had to send 2 coffees back from tasting burnt/milk was lumpy. Was going to send another coffee back for the same reason, but felt too uncomfortable because we nearly got turned down the first time. :) coffee cups are super cute though
Wow. I honestly have never been to a worse cafe in my life. The staff were extremely unfriendly and became annoyed if we asked for normal requests such as a glass of water. The coffee was something ridiculous like $7 and it tasted honestly disgusting as it was burnt. Paid extra for their 'almond mylk' and it was gross and it barely had any in it. The glass was so tiny yet I couldn't even finish it because of the taste, if I had to describe it I would say it tasted like sour milk mixed with drain water. I also ordered an avocado on toast which was $17 and had barely any avocado on it and was served on a thin piece of plywood and paper?? Definitely not worth it. This review is pretty bad I know, and I have never left a bad review anywhere because I usually cannot be bothered. However, I was reading other reviews to see if anyone else has had an experience this bad and to my shock, the manager bullies anyone that leaves a bad review, which prompted me to write my own. :) This one is my personal favourite. In response to a bad review the manager replied: "so very sorry to have stirred up so much reactivity in you that you had to resort to the faceless social media platform to voice your complaint...lucky you are not living in a war torn country where you would really have something to complain about." Clearly this cafe is run by a bunch of stuck up, entitled people with no training in hospitality or customer service. Shocking to see in Byron Bay. Bottom line, if you actually want good coffee, food and service go literally any other cafe. McDonald's has better service than this.
Great little cafe! The vegan toasted sandwich was smattered with dill, the bread was delicious and overall flavourful. Good vibe and great vegan options available. Wouldn’t recommend the affogato but the coffee was delicious. Four of us will be back.
