2019 and 2020 golden bowl laksa winner ... It is a must try. Friendly efficient service, reasonably priced winning dish. Smooth and creamy with a slight taste of coconut and manageable spice level... the gallery is a good location to have a meal with friends or date. Enjoy
The best laksa I've had .loved it I couldn't leave my wife's , ihad to finish it for her yum
10/10 chicken laksa with wontons. It's not cheap, but it's worth it. Creamy, salty, sweet. Egg noodles are delicious.
I can see why these guys won the golden bowl for Laksa. Very delicious, friendly efficient service too. Would recommend the chicken Laksa. I got it take away so the photo doesn't do it justice
I'm from Malaysia and this is on point, highly recommend
I got the laksa combination. Gotta say this is soul food! The broth is thick but not too thick to the point you'll get sick of eating it. It's not oily which is another plus point. Some laksa I've tried has like a thick layer of chilli oil just floating on top which is so unappetising. It's not overly sweet like most of the laksa I've tried in Darwin so far. Highly recommend it.
Voted "Best Laksa in Darwin" 2019
Chok's Place is located inside The Galleria in Darwin's Smith Street Mall. It's only open for lunch as it's a food outlet in air-conditioned food court. Please don't let that put you off. We had been advised this was a great place for a good laksa in Darwin, and we were not let down. We ordered the Chicken Laksa and absolutely loved it. It was a very generous portion and full of so much flavour. Up there with one of the best laksa's we have tasted. We enjoyed our meal in the seating area with all the CBD office workers enjoying their lunch. A great spot to stop, eat and enjoy in the cool.
Yes, the best laksa I've had. Maybe I've gone to the wrong places in Perth, but Chok's Place easily beats any I've tried there. All those golden bowl awards in a laksa land tell you something. Agree with other reviews - silky and flavoursome without being sickly thought-out. Could've eaten more. And more. The combination laksa included lots of quality variety and two plump prawns. But the curry, coconut-ty soup base was the biz. Somehow it turned the central atrium with the little fountain into Elysium.
Best laksa I've tried in Darwin. No wonder they won the Golden Laksa Awards. Taste is very good, broth is thick and smells good. But price is slightly higher. Would've patronized more often if the price is more affordable.
