Burnley Brewing

I am sorry but i did not receive a friendly and respectful service here. I went with my family, two kids and my partner. While i was ordering i asked for a taste of Grapefruit brew, the young lady who served me gave me some. I said: "it is not cold, why is that?" She replied and insisted it is cold. I ordered that beer I tasted and three more drinks for the family. The table was served except for my drink. While we were waiting (at lunch time when there are customers are waiting their orders). the young lady started to chat with staff who seemed to be doing inventory. We were surprised that I did not receive a beer for 10 minutes after everyone else had drinks at the table. My partner said, "maybe you did not order". I went and checked, the young lady said she is going to bring it. There were no explanations or apologies for delay, but very blunt and unfriendly looks from the service staff and her. What happened to genuine service with a smile? Not sure. Later, the manager (I think he was), he said the beer I ordered was not available and asked if I wanted another kind. I asked why the young lady did not tell me this when I asked just a few minutes ago. The manager said she would not know. Seems like an information flow problem exists. Doesn't she supposed to know or be informed about this? Later, I received my beer. The manager seemed kind, but still there were no apologies or sorry or any kind of accepting they were at fault here. I find this behaviour odd and not very respectful especially at a local pub. We were going to order food but after what happened I said I am not spending a cent more here and we went to another pub for lunch in Richmond where we were served with a genuine smile. I would not go back there. We live in Richmond and when we take bike rides with kids we sometimes end up there on the way back. This won't be our stop, anymore.

We had a great night here. The service was fast and friendly. Plenty of beer options to chose from as well as other beverages. The pizzas were delicious and went well with the drinks. The side orders were eaten but we probably didn't really need them. Burnley was recommended by local friends and we were glad we followed their advice.

Cannot say much about the variety of the beers/wines they sell but the opening day was a nice celebration of the company and the family behind the Brewery. Great location and decent pricing are its main draws whereas a very poor set up and badly placed bar area are its detractors. Will definitely be back to try more of their home brew.

You can tell a lot about a place from how they handle a mistake. There was an issue with a dietary requirement for one of the diners in our group but they were open about the mistake, compensated for it, and the waitress, emma, was very professional and handled the situation well. Burnley brewing is a great relaxed place to sit and enjoy a cold drink, chill and catch up with friends. Has great beers on tap with a wide selection and a not to shabby wine list either. Food menu covers what you'd expect from a brewery and some top notch pizzas that are the highlight. Staff are friendly too

Beers here are so nice. Had a plum sour called the "Emma" which was one of the best beers I've had in a while!

Lacks inner city cool but as a very decent place to try the beers and have a feed the venue works well. I suspect the customer base isn't particularly crafty and the 11 strong tap list reflects this. Nothing too crazy but I'm sure it makes commercial sense. Menu is bang on....pizza, burgers and some pub classics for sharing. Much more relaxing than the likes of Moondog.

Great beer selection and a good pub type meal. We really liked the botanical sour beer and the meatball pizza. Definitely try the beer tasting paddle.

Great place too celebrate mothers day. Great food excellent service lot of fun
