I ate here not long ago with my mother who is gluten free. The staff ask at the beginning of the meal if anyone has allergies or is gluten free. They had heaps of gf options available, aswell as gf bread for the table.

"think of a smart casual outfit as one that you'd wear for a movie or dinner date"
The short answer is: somewhat. When you walk into the restaurant there are two sets of (fairly steep) stairs -- coming down is potentially more dangerous, especially when you're very full. I didn't see a lift, but given that it's a modern building there probably is one. The restaurant is *almost* what I would call a fine-dining restaurant, so it might not be suitable for very young children. It really is more of a posh-bistro. Having said that, they layout is more for family sized groups (tables of 4-8, some large tables for bigger groups of 10+, with a handful of 2-seater tables and may be 4-5 5-seater booths). The staff are very friendly, so even if it wasn't a child friendly restaurant they'd probably make you feel welcome either way. So, I'd suggest that if you have a very young child/baby then perhaps not, but if they can sit (no booster seat or high chair) and feed themselves then you should enjoy yourselves.
