Bimbadgen Wood Fire Pizza

We arrived hoping to have a nice dining experience. Unfortunately, after our order was taken we waited for about 40 minutes after ordering and asked where our order was and was told only a few minutes. 10 minutes later, we were served our meal in a takeaway box that had been left on the side of the counter for an unknown amount of time. We asked for the order to be remade, given we weren't sure how long it had been sitting out on a cold Winters night. To our surprise the meal came out less than 5 minutes in the same take away boxes. We weren't really surprised that the meal wasn't even put on a plate. Not great service, waiters only noticed us after we voiced our concerns. When you expect to get a nice dining experience from a well known winery in the Hunter, you don't expect am experience with a buzzer type system that I could get down at my local dingy pub.

I'm not saying the food was bad. But it could be better. Pizzas with barely any toppings, thankfully we had the $29 'charctuerie board' to top it up. The ambience and wine was beautiful. Staff friendly and attentive, but it just missed the mark. Soggy bottom woodfire pizza was a shame. This has potential to serve outstanding pizza, maybe it was just a one off bad night.

Heard really great things about this restaurant so we were really disappointed when we had dinner there. The garlic bread was toasted bread with nothing on it, when I spoke to the worker she said she had tried it and knew it was bad (then you should take it off the menu…). The lady made us a new one which had more garlic on it and it was clumpy and gooey and disgusting so we didn’t eat that either. The lady gave us back a refund or said she was for $9 for the garlic bread. However I checked my bank account and they actually charged me $9 extra instead of a refund. The pizza dough was barely a pizza dough, especially as it was meant to be wood fired pizza. The salad was yum and the restaurant was aesthetic. They are the only two good things to comment on! The service was poor and for a restaurant with little diners, there was no table service and they gave us a buzzer like we were in a food court. No table service at all. So overall a really disappointing experience as it was an occasion dinner and our last night in the Hunter for the long weekend. Would not recommend going here, and hope they read this and change some things!

The place is nice and staff are very friendly but for a pizza place it’s just a bit ‘meh’ the base is more bread than pizza and there was hardly any cheese or toppings. I don’t usually write reviews but I wouldn’t recommend this place for dinner (maybe a snack in between tastings or lunch if it’s sunny?) - there are much nicer places in the Hunter.

Payed for raw flat bread that was half cold.

The mushroom pizza is really good - highly recommend trying! Really nice views. Apparently the seafood pizza (prawn pizza) wasn't as good (I didn't try it, I'm just going off of other people in the group's feedback) but overall it's a good place.

We loved the place. Especially with the Kangaroo encounter. Drinks are awesome.

Not bad but could be better. Pizzas more like flatbreads, they should improve their dough to bubble in the oven. People walked in at 7:30pm and were told the kitchen was closed...surely the owner wouldn't be happy to see money walk out the door on a quiet Friday night? Ordering at the counter seems cheap.

Lovely place with very high quality pizzas. Probably closest what I've had to the Italian one.
