Bibelot is definitely on the top of the list when it comes to cakes and sampling desserts plate. Professionally in house produce at the highest consistent quality. This is our go to places for celebration cakes (birthdays, anniversaries, graduations etc) and will be for a long time. Personal favourites are the Yuzu mangoes, light and fluffy which is absolutely delicious. The services have changed over the years especially after pandemic as it was high tea style to a more relax casual visit style but the quality of cakes remained high standard.
I don’t know whether to start talking about the excellent service or the distinguished sweets. This place became my weekly destination on my way to the South Melbourne Market :) 💯amazing seats indoors or out. They also have the best hot chocolate I've ever tasted in my life 🤤☕️
The desserts here are next level. Normally I couldn't justify spending so much on a dessert but here at Bibelot, it's well worth it. I had the hazelnut praline crunch, it's the right amount of sweetness, the texture is on point and the serving size is just right, any bigger and it'll get sickening.
Came here for pistachio ice cream in South Melbourne, they did not disappoint, they didn't have coffee available at this French inspired dessert shop and suggested we try Chez Dre next door. There's plenty of seating at the back and mini/ full size cakes like hazelnut praline crunch, jasmine and lychee, mango yuzu and coconut, chocolate and passionfruit... The mini cakes are pricey, but they look so beautiful
Wow, I was impressed. I ordered the dark hot chocolate on soy and it was so smooth and velvety. Just perfect for Melbourne weather!!! Lovely staff and clean place!!
Yesterday 11:30am we receive the notification that will lock down 7 days, but I made the order already pass a week. There was still plenty of time to notify the customer. Nobody contact and tell me 28th the shop will close. And the staff of the bibelot didn't answer my call. This is irresponsible to customers. Wasting my time,I went to the shop on time to pick up my birthday cake but there is nothing here even your apologize. So disappointed!
I love how the cakes and macaroons are not too sweet. Their flavours go very well with the tea also. Recommended.
The cakes are beautiful and delicious. However, Serving them in a box is not practical or attractive. Surely they could use disposable plates. Their covid plan is ?? No customer details, no tables cleaned. We had to threw our paper boxes and the previous customers boxes in a random street bin
Chocaholics beware! A destination in South Melbourne not to be missed. The deserts shouldn't be eaten - they are too pretty, no elegant, to be eaten. But eat we did, and they were remarkable and need to savoured not scoffed down on the way to work! Its near South Melb Market. Parking is easier outside market trading hours otherwise take the #12 tram on Clarendon St or the #96 route to/from St Kilda 😀
We love the cakes here! Such a nice place for a treat
