Shop 2 126 Charles St Corner of York St and Charles St 7250, Launceston
Authentic, fresh, delicious Indian cuisine with enormous portions for very reasonable prices. I have ordered from here many times and will continue to do so. I have yet to eat in, but they have a massive, clean, well thought out restaurant space with a fully stocked bar that deserves far more patronage than it gets. Amazing
Best food on our trip to Tasmania. Highly recommended for their services, food and Hygiene. We were so hungry and looking for a good Indian Restaurant and luckily found a gem. They welcomed us so nicely and given complementary Papad while ordering food. We ordered Spicy Bengal Chicken Curry, Garlic Naan, Tandoori Roti and Egg fried rice. Curry was literally tastes like home made with so much flavours. They have quality and quantity which makes them perfect. At last we took their Pista Kulfi as a take away order and that was full of dried fruits and deliciousness. Must visit Indian Restaurant in Launceston.
Delicious food, great prices and friendly service. The menu was perfect for vegetarians, the samosa and the sauce were amazing, curries delicious and well spiced, and the restaurant was cosy and inviting. Would absolutely visit again
I tried the bengal tiger chicken and it was top notch, really good curry. The garlic naan was quite dry and lacked that garlicky taste. The music playing was quite nice as well and the staff were nice to me. Overall a good place to eat.
I had dinner on the 7/3/21. The food was delicious and plentiful (couldn't finish my main). Service was prompt and staff were friendly. There were great specials on alcohol and a 10% discount on bills over $50. Would recommend a visit!!!
Fantastic experience. The staff were friendly and helpful, the atmosphere was great but the food was the highlight. Had 4 delicious curries, rice and naan, which made for a wonderful night out all at a very reasonable price. Would definitely recommend!
Wonderful setting, friendly and courteous staff, very clean and hygienic. The food was delicious.
Had vegetable samosa, bit too much asafoetida, needed more spices. Garlic naan was a bit dry, too thin. Beef vindaloo wasn't spicy, lamb saag wasn't too bad, needed fenugreek leaf, and more spinach. Urud makhani was overcooked, not much flavour. Mango lassi was nice. Saffron Rice didn't taste of saffron.
The food was authentic and superb. The staff are very helpful and friendly. Would recommend this venue when in Launceston.
I think I’ve just discovered the best Indian in Tasmania! Food, service, presentation, decor and prices all get 100% from me! It’s also BYO or fully licensed - and $5 beers/house wine. Where else can you get a whole snapper cooked tandoori style for $18.90? Even the cool Indian music playing was delightful. On a work trip to Tassie for a week and ate here almost every night. Very personable service. Couldn’t do enough to make each night the best experience
