The place is wonderful and you will enjoy the scenery of a classic and legendary 1900 century structures. We ended up for an afternoon tea at Beechworth bakery. You must not missed this naturally good looking place when youβre going to Bright.
The motto "Worth the drive" speaks volumes. Numerous cafes and bakeries in town deceive only a few drivers, but those who know continue through town to this pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. Hot pastries meat and vego, fresh sweets and daily made wraps and sandwiches are all delicious. Also venture out to the back deck, beautiful scenery. Love this place.
Wow this is a big bakery with lovely staff, indoor and outdoor seating. Coffee and pies were awesome. None of the outdoor tables were clean however inside was spotless.
What can go wrong about a pie. A lot can. But not this place. Hiking at Healesville, followed by some pies is a summary of a day well spend. Bakery was crowded to the brink, but Beechworth has always been worth the wait . Ned Kelly pie is as amazing as the legend himself. Beef pie topped with egg and bacon just hit the spot (pun intended). Butter chicken pie was already and not too shabby for that matter. Chocolate eclair was sweet but became too sweet when strawberry thickshake was added to the ordered items. Coffee did take a bit of time but no harm done. Vanilla slices are always a good Takeaway for home.
My wife and I love this place. Too much! Great coffee. Exceptional pies and pastries. Just yum!
Scrambled Egg Toastie - Meat Pie - Vanilla Slice Donut - Custard Roll Thought we would grab some treats for the drive home from this famous bakery. There was a grand selection, everything looked quite stock standard - and can confirm tasted just as average, as was the service. Everything seemed sloppy, or maybe I just picked the wrong things. I understand itβs just a bakery, but with all these sweet treats on offer you could at least smile! A nice outdoor area at the back. Other than that, nothing to see here folks.
Delicious! Great food, savoury and dessert alike. I recommend a savoury scone or a Ned Kelly pie with a cappuccino or hot chocolate and a slice of carrot cake for dessert. It can be slightly expensive, but the prices are clear, I'd usually spend about $20 there. Also if you come at lunch you could be waiting up to 20 minutes to order. Overall 4 out of 5, I would recommend.
THE best bakery in Healesville or its surrounds!! If you love a good pie, you just GOTTA get the Ned Kelly!! Best pie ever! The coffee they use is really nice too. Don't drive by, you'll regret you did! π
Great service and great pie. Would highly recommend. To the negative reviews stating they drove all the way out here just for a pie, what's wrong with you? Pies are great but there is so much beautiful places to go out here. Go for the hiking and landscapes and stay for the pies.
Been here a few times & loved the curried pie & yummy date scones with cream (request for this). Cappuccino is awesome though hot chocolate on another visit was bland. Lemon slice - hmm - not to my taste - too sugary & not so lemony. Friendly service. Beautiful views. There is seating outside - front & rear. Clean toilets are outside along back seating area.
