Gillies St 0, Fairfield
Had a nice cappuccino here. Service was great. Staff were very nice.
A skinny flat white so grand that you could breast stroke from one side of the cup to the other. The Bean Counter never does anything by halves. We are enjoying the garden with it's quirky, 70s flavoured ornaments. The garden feels a million kms away from bustling Station Street. The meals are great. The cakes are greater. And we will save the superlatives for the wonderfully attentive team. No matter what time on a weekend afternoon you go to the Bean Counter, the staff are welcoming and professional.
The Bean Counter Cafe was a great discovery for us during our 10k walk around the parks from Hawthorn. Splendid, welcoming service, varied menu, tasty food and coffee - excellent!
Great place for a coffee and snack attack! Also wonderful soups are available in generous amount. I have only visited three times so far, but I have photographed the menu board on the wall for general perusal. Merci Beaucoup! Pπ
The almond latte is a nice 4/5 but new York cheese cake, I would rate it 2.5/5.
Lovely place, service was excellent, zucchini fritters we're disappointingly under cooked with wet tomatoes ontop. Coffee was weak. Will give another go, but not a good start.
An underwhelming coffee experience at best I was super stoked to find this cosy little cafe yesterday afternoon and even happier to learn they were serving the happy days blend (my favourite out of the roasting warehouse line up and the one i personally use at home for milk based coffee). Unfortunatley my experience was overshadowed by a poorly trained barista- dirty portafilter not rinsed or wiped out between the last shot pulled, no distribution, puck prep or weighing of the dose as well as a grinder chamber full of pre ground coffee from who knows when, made for a very bitter hard to drink iced latte. I contemplated saying something at the time but it never seems worth it and such an awkward conversation to have! Im hoping it was just an "off day" and perhaps ill try again in the future but please if your charging $5-$6 for a coffee it's got to be made with love
Itβs been a while since I was last here , but can honestly say l had a great breakfast. Th Court yard was a good place to be , for those concerned about Covid but still want to dine out and the service excellent .
Last week I went to this cafe as it has a lovely courtyard. But I left without going in as there is a growing smelly stinky rubbish pile growing outside the cafe. The stench really made me feel queasy. It also made me question all the cleanliness and processes in the kitchen. I wonβt be back.
so... went to the Fairfield park and getting home, feeling thirsty and getting mango smoothie from here, what a lovely place. they were busy on Saturday morning, so we just grab a. coffee and smoothie then home~
