260 Arden St 2034, Coogee
Great restaurant, delicious food and reasonable price.
Nice place . A bit pricey and food was hit and miss. Some dishes very tasty and others very plain...
My husband and I have enjoyed the food at this wonderful restaurant twice. Our first visit was due to its proximity to the hotel where we were staying. What a delightful surprise. The food radiated flavour and freshness. Our second visit was based on our desire to taste those wonderful flavours again. We actually booked an overnight stay at the same hotel so that we could enjoy a meal and not worry about driving back home to Emu Plains. We will be returning for a third meal with our son and his family. They are travelling up from Melbourne and as we have raved about the food so much they want to try it for themselves. We wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant.
Nice ambience but foods average
Tasty food, big portions, and service that was attentive without being intrusive. I'm vegetarian, and found plenty of suitable menu options.
We love Vietnamese food. Have been enjoying it in Sydney and Vietnam for 30 years. This restaurant isn't trendy!. In fact it is way too authentic and genuine to be in the eastern suburbs. It reminds me in many ways of Bay Tinh in Marrickville in the 90 ‘s. The food is genuine Vietnamese at ridiculously reasonable prices, it is BYO, the ambience is roomy, elegant and relaxed. We no longer live inSydney, but will return to Coogee for no other reason than to eat here
What a lovely night we had! The food was so fresh and so full of flavour. On the night we visited we talked to the owner/ head chef and we discovered his restaurant has been here since 2004, so they are obviously doing something right and it shows; from the food to the classy decor, to the staff in the traditional attire. Which dish was my favourite? Hard to choose one but I loved the Barramundi, the Duck Salad, and the beef and lemongrass with noodles. I will defintely be back to have their Pho, can't wait!
Pork buns as entree: yum, but the meat was a little bit on the dry side Seared scallops: beautiful scallops, huge portion and that sauce was just so good, amazing balance of flavours. Lamb shank: literally melted in our mouths and again a great sauce with a little kick. Main reason why I'm not giving 5 stars is that the service was way too slow. We received our entree one hour after ordering and then had to wait another 30min on our mains.
Great atmosphere for a quiet dinner as well as with the family. There is a great selection of food and cocktails. Make sure you order the string beans and abalone salad. I loved the eggplant and prawn dish too. Everything was great.
Nice place but slow service. Ordered spare ribs entrees and another main. Got everything but waited over 2 hours for the spare ribs. Wouldnt come here if you're in a hurry
