I had this place recommended to me. I'm glad we tried it out. Very clean contemporary restaurant with amazing food and witty friendly service. Fantastic experience
Best Laksa I’ve had in Canberra. The roast duck laksa is amazing. Would definitely recommend.
The ambience of the restaurant is nice. The food is tasty and large portions. However felt the dumpling servings were a ripoff. For $12 we got 4small dumplings. Excellent service. Disable friendly.
Excellent service , delicious food. good choice of drinks. Recommended A++.
Really nice and quiet spot, really nice ambiance (thought I would never say that😂). Friendly and non intrusive staff. Had the mixed, boiled dumplings which were delicious. Perfectly chilly dipping sauce. The soup dumplings were excellent, very tasty broth. Got a half serve of the duck pancakes, which were a touch dry, but the sauce made up for it. Will be back.
If one was to summarise a complete dining experience to be 70% food (taste, presentation, authenticity of flavours, portion sizes etc.) and 30% place (decor, warmth and attitude of staff, facilities) then Bambusa is DEFINITELY hits the 100% mark. My family and I showed up there on a very busy Saturday night after being turned away from literally every other joint in the neighbourhood. Despite being at full capacity, Bambusa not only accommodated us, but made sure that we had a wonderful dining experience. Thank you so much for that, Bambusa. We had the sweet corn soup, chicken dumplings and chowmein - couldn't fault a things and ate every last morsel of. Will definitely visit again.
Excellent service and very authentic and delicious Cantonese food. My husband is from Guangzhou and very rarely gives Canberra Chinese restaurants the tick of approval but Bambusa succeeded! They made a mistake with our online booking (definitely call - don’t trust online bookings) but were so quick to fix it and provided really friendly and attentive service. We’ll definitely make this a regular place!
Fabulous dining experience. The ambience here is great and has a bar. Wife enjoyed the crispy skin chicken and declared the fried rice one of the best she's had. I ordered the Mongolian beef and was delighted to see it arrive on a sizzling platter with a thoughtful cloche keeping it from splattering everyone. Absolutely delicious. Would definitely recommend this restaurant.
went there with a group of around 44 people for a banquet that was pre booked. These are my comments: Unfriendly welcome.. no manners Food was very slow to arrive even though booked earlier Only 2 waiters serving (for 44 people) Very pricey for average tasting food Not a pleasant experience
Food was fantastic but it took 90 min for the mains to arrive.
