We dine here regularly and always come back for their Ayam Bakar. Their snack range is quite impressive, and this is coming from an Australian who was born and raised in Indonesia! This place is definitely a decent place to satisfy your cravings for authentic Indonesian food.

Instagram: @ediblemelbourne WE WILL BE RETURNING REGULARLY We rocked up here at opening, around 11.30 am and we sat right next to the window seat facing Clarendon Street - best seat in the house. We were given menus promptly and were advised to order at the counter. We did so and quickly saw the Robot Waiter bringing our order - such a cool little experience - definitely added to a fun experience. We ordered Ayam Geprek (Crispy Chicken Chop), Ayam Penyet (Smashed Chicken), Sate Madura (Charcoal Grilled Satay Chicken Skewers), Iga Bakar (Grilled Beef Ribs). We absolutely loved the Ayam Penyet and it was accompanied with a generous side of sambal - I think these guys will easily take the award for the spiciest sambal in menu - and it is delicious. Do order the satay chicken as a side, it is a great little add on and so delicious - even used a spoon to scoop out all the yummy satay from the plate. The crispy chicken chop was super crunchy and fresh, with some fresh salad on the side that makes you want to keep going back for more. We finished our experience with some sweets - the coconut and palm sugar rolls are to die for - could order so many of those and keep eating them. The creams puffs are so good as well. Just the best little bites. Service is super friendly and unpretentious. We cannot wait to return to try so much more. Did we mention that they have other stores in Preston, Dandenong and Noble Park?

Loved the food, let me warn you not to try the chilli on its own. It is surely spicy and will bring the sweat out of you. Food is amazing. Best thing is the robot that serves you the food and bring it to your table. Good experience.

🏠: @ria_melb πŸ“: South Melbourne πŸ“: Always down for Indonesian food. Back to Ayam Penyet RIA once again and never let down by their food. ❀️: First thing I had to get no matter what was, of course, Gado Gado. Such a generous portion size with delicious peanut sauce. Also loved Rawon as well, an Indonesian beef soup with black keluak nut.

One of the most authentic indonesian food in melbourne. Meat was well cooked and their sambal was amazing, very spicy just as it should be. Batagor was a bit chewier than expected, but still pretty good. Great portion and price. Definitely a recommended place to eat.

Came here on the weekend, it was very busy with a few people lining up waiting to be served, It's a little Indonesian restaurant situated on Clarendon St, there's not too much parking around, And it's in front of a tram stop. Lots of yummy food with vegetarian options also, the main dishes from $8.90 include Udang, Tahu Tempe, Bakso, Terong, Telor, soups, grilled chicken, lamb and beef ribs, with rice ordered on the side. The drinks include Milo Dinosaur, Soda Gembira, Mega Mendung, Lemonade, Avocado Juice, Es Bandung, Teh Tarik, Es Kopi, and Hot tea. Snacks/ entrees and desserts are also available with Iga Penyet, Empal Penyet...
