While in Margaret we like to try and support the local shops. We had heard good things about the Bakery in Augusta and decided to take a trip there, it’s a little shop with a medium cafe to the side. I was a little disappointed that out of all the food they made, non was dairy free, I think in this day and age they’d cater for all. I had the steak & Guinness pie, it was average at the best, and same with the Bavarian slice. It’s a nice looking bakery, but I wouldn’t visit again
When I said I'm going to Margaret River everyone told me to visit the Augusta Bakery, and while it is a bit of a trek from Margs it is well worth it. I had a stunning sausage roll and it really proved all the awards they had on their walls.
Its ok. Coffees are decent but a bit slow.
Only thing i got was a custard tart, so i cant really give a full opinion on the bakery itself. I have many friends who said they liked their food.
Just tried to get some decent bread and a good vego pastie that this bakery was famous for. Sadly no good bread only white all the grain bread and sourdough no longer. A San Francisco white but definitely not sourdough. We have been coming here for 40years used to head straight for the bakery but not likely to bother any more
