Stuart Highway 5700, Port Augusta
Loved the new kids garden area, fantastic
Beautiful garden and conservation areas. The landscaping lets you see all layers at once, the grasses, shrubs and trees. The main paths are set as intersecting concentric circles, connected by narrow winding paths. There is lots of seating, some in shade some in sun. The central area is well signed. The signs further out are set in a way that I could not get a photo of the plant with it's name.
Must visit when in Port Augusta. Great botanic garden with several specific arid habitats on display. Great little information signs throughout the garden (although some are a bit weather-worn). Nice little visitor's centre with a great shop and lovely cafe. Only had the icecream, they offer 4 local bush Tucker flavours. And the serving sizes are huge!
I would have to stay a few days, next time so much to see. Wonderful tour guide Chris a wealth of information. The food awesome, the nursery emerging even though I couldn't get a Regal Birdeater shrub. Brilliant place.
One of the most amazing parks and extremely well kept and signed. Plenty of walking tracks and beautiful views. Has bird watching, plenty of wildlife in natural habitat, beautiful flora and fauna. Would recommend. But bring fly spray.
very quiet, calm, beautiful native plants around. its like zen. coffee is about $5, meal is about $16. we didn't see animals much but still great walk
Delicious lunch and beautiful location. 2 of us had the salt and pepper calamari with salad and chips and it was so yummy, fresh and plenty of it. Could easily share a meal with a side of the scrumptious damper. The quiche was huge, chicken medallion and salad fresh and substantial. Need more time to walk around the gardens and admire the native plants.
Lovely setup, great customer service. Make me their Raving fan . Highly recommended. Thank you so much for helping our community through this park #southAustralia #adelaide
Wonderful morning spent in this beautiful garden. Thanks Shirley for an informative tour ($10.00 pp leaves at 10am) Friendly staff plenty of walking trails and lovely cafe and shop. Well worth a visit. Free entry. A peaceful oasis in this harsh environment. Incredible vision from those that saw the need to preserve and share the plants of SA and arid lands of Australia.
If you are native plants lover, must go place!
