Angel Falls Grill

Visited here for dinner tonight. Place was really packed which was a good sign for the restaurant. Waited 40mins for main meal to arrive (which was understandable as they were busy). Meat was dry, food was flavourless, seafood bland and chips were decent. If I had to sum up the experience in one word.... BASIC.

Overpriced for what you get. Took ages to take our order, then to bring out our starters, and then almost an hour to bring out our mains. The table next to us who was also 4 people, arrived after us, got their food, ate, left, and the servers had cleaned their table before our meal got to us. Had to wave down a waitress for another drink because no one came and checked on us until we were almost finished eating. Food itself was fine but absolutely not worth waiting that long. Wouldn't go back.

After reading raving reviews on Google and their instagram page, despite the excessive high pricing my wife and I decided to give Angel Falls grill a go. We ordered the $90 Araguaney meat board for 2 people. Positives: The steak strip's were tasty and well cooked, the accompanying sauces were very tasty, the small wraps were warm and tasty. The Negatives: The pork pieces and chicken strip's were both luke-warm and extremely dry, they tasted like they had been cooked another day and lightly reheated. The quantity of the sauces was less then a tablespoon per serving and we ran out before eating less then half of the wraps. Also the platter came with zero grilled vegetables. Serving sizes of meat and sauces were tiny and underwhelming considering the hefty $90 price tag. With some hefty price reductions and focus on food freshness this restaurant could possibly develop into a worthy eatery. Unfortunately we won't be back. EDIT RESPONSE: We did notify the host after finishing our meal which yielded a quick apology but no compensation. We only reported the issues after finishing the meal because after waiting a good 30-40 minutes for our meal while the restaurant had only 1 other table, we didn't want to wait a further large amount of time for a corrected meal. And $90 for a small meat platter is not competitive at all. Check out Lapas Brazilian who offer an unlimited serving of over 20 different fresh grilled meals for only $55pp or have a look at El Publicos meat platter which has a larger platter then your $90 equivelent, and is only $45. No hard feelings. We just had to share our honest review. - Thanks

Angel Falls grill is a pleasant restaurant with a good atmosphere. The interior part of the restaurant is relatively small but well laid out and well decorated. The staff are attentive and friendly. The menu is great for meat lovers. The food is well presented and of a high standard. Pricing is reasonable. My daughter and I enjoyed a Sunday lunch at Angel Falls grill. The noise levels enabled us to have good conversation without having to raise our voices.

My husband visited this place several years ago and absolutely loved it so it was on our must visit list when we came to Perth. However we left very disappointed due to 2 reasons: rude service (by 1 man, not by the 2 amazing waitresses) and the steaks were bad especially for that price. The man at the reception was very rude. He ignored our questions and was overall rude, so that people at the table next to us noticed too. We were about leave but stayed because the 2 waitresses were super nice. The steaks we had tasted bad, they were super dry (which can be expected for mine which was well done, but my husbands was medium-well, but still completely dry, overdone), tasteless and overall worse than a 10$ pub steak for 43$. Overall with the sides each dish was close to 75$ and we left completely disappointed. We had amazing experience with other restaurants in Perth which had great food, but will not visit this one again.

Really enjoyed the food here but was quite expensive! Wasn’t overly hungry so ate two starters with a side of sweet potato fries. Had three drinks. Good service

We really used to love this place but when we went the other day we were rather disappointed. The food and everything still tastes great! But the portion sizes were varying between different people and they have really cut down on how much meat you get for the price. We also booked and got charged a "no show" fee for $25 per person that didn't show up. I think that it is understandable but pretty steep considering we were a large booking and spent LOTS of money that night. and there were also empty tables as it was a Tuesday night so I thought it was a bit unfair.

Really lovely place to eat very versatile menu, food was very fresh and tasty, Chef and Staff were very friendly and helpful. Great restaurant to try something new. Definitely recommend.

Delicious food and nice red wines too. Will definitely be back to try some of their other dishes.

Really great food. Excellent service. A bit noisy in the restaurant as it is quite small. A bit on the pricey side but everything I ate tasted delicious.
