More interesting than I thought it would be, enjoyed the guided tour and additional information that gave. The kids loved exploring the docked whaling ship. Also nice cafe, gift shop and the ticket price gets you into a small wildlife park and gardens that are on site too.

Don't come here expecting any apology for whaling. The museum very faithfully remembers the life and times of a whaling station. You could easily spend a few hours here watching videos, reading posters and plaques detailing decades of whale hunting and processing. The skeleton section was particularly perturbing, especially the baby dolphins and whales stored in formaldehyde. I didn't love the content of the whaling station, but it was we'll put together and very informative, like a good museum should.

Highly recommended!! I love cetaceans ad ocean wildlife so at first I was afraid to feel bad in a place like this...But at the end you learn that it was an industry as many others and It was a life style and a way of life that lucky finished. We really enjoy all the information and the experience thanks to Stuart, it was very nice to hear him :)

So much to see and do here. You need quite a few hours for your visit to see everything. Very interesting and very educational.
