Ahoy Roy | Fish and Chips by Venus and Co

Tried this new local fish & chip place last night. Yummy fish (says local) & good crunchy chips, not greasy or heavy. Delicious, fresh Greek salad.

Love the chips here and the potato cakes are delicious both have the right amount of salt. Quick and friendly service as well! Will definitely be back for more!

A new, high quality 'fish & chip' shop. The fish was very fresh, the chips were perfect. Also highly recommend the potato cakes! The service is super friendly and they genuinely want to hear your feedback as they are still figuring things out. They also sell Jock's ice cream tubs.

This is certainly the best fish and chips I've had in a long while. The fish was just the right amount of juicy, fluffy and crunchy - and the chips, wow! Plus friendly people, and a great location! Best fish and chips this side of the river? I would say so! Thank you for making amazing food, and the rest of us happy :-)!

We shared a flake, some chips and a lobster roll. Best fish and chips I’ve had in a long time! The fish was fresh, the chips had a good crisp and lobster roll was marvellous! Can’t wait to go back

Awesome fresh fish and chips. My new go to on a Friday night. Great salads but the fish is the best in the area.

I had high hopes for my first experience at Ahoy Roy, given my experience at Venus & Co was a pleasant one, however I was severely disappointed. My friend and I each ordered the same salmon meal pack and some additional salads, however when our food arrived, my friend’s salmon fillet was significantly bigger than mine - I would estimate mine to be about 100g and my friends fillet to be around 150g. Mind you we both paid the exact same price. The size of the salads were also very disappointing for the price we paid. The quality of the fish was great, but the significant size difference in the fillets and the tiny servings of salads left us still feeling hungry, with a lingering taste of poor value for money. We won’t be returning.

Went here last night for the first time and it was great!! Get a lobster banh mi and you will not be disappointed. Very delicious. I will be back!

Great Fish & Chips by new owner operator. Hope they add Lamb Souvlaki to the menu as miss this option offered by previous shop located here.
