***FIRST TIME EXPERIENCE*** ✅ Big serving and definitely legit noodle soup. Wasn’t able to finish it. ❤️ Amazed and loved seeing how the handmade noodles are done. You can choose the thickness of the noodles. ✅ Serving time was quick with respect to the long queue. Ate here around 11:50am Sunday. ✅ Plenty of seating. 📌 Price is reasonable. See photo for order. Has 1.5% surcharge for credit card, 5% off for cash.

I got braised beef with thick noodles. Soup was good and noodles were a nice texture. However I got 5 pieces of “beef” and only 2 actually had meat on it, the other 3 were pure fat and gristle.

The handmade and hand stretched Lanzhou beef noodles are part of that region's food culture and famous throughout China and beyond, but I have to say it's not really my cup of tea (or bowl of soup as the case may be). The newish local 1919 Lanzhou Beef Noodle has been pretty busy since opening a few months ago and we dropped by recently to see what the fuss/buzz is about. I've seen some fairly long queues there which has deterred me from trying, but at the time of this visit (around 1pm on a Wednesday) there wasn't much of a wait. Our order: * Lanzhou handmade beef noodle soup (兰州牛肉面) paired with the thinnest noodles (毛细), $12.80 * Pickled cabbage beef noodle soup (酸菜牛肉面) paired with thick noodles (二细), $12.80 * pork cabbage steamed dumplings (猪肉白菜燕饺), 4pc $4.80 Total bill was $30.85 by card, so looks like there's a 1.5% credit card surcharge which I don't recall being informed of. The noodles soups were ready in about 3 minutes, but the dumplings took a fair bit longer at around 15 minutes. There are 7 types of noodles to choose from in a variety of thicknesses / shapes: thinnest, thinner, thin, thick, thicker, prism, and wide. The thinner is recommended as most popular, and the thick as chewy and satisfying. We found the thinnest noodles to be quite thin but also too soft, whereas the thick was indeed nice and satisfyingly chewy. The flavour profiles of the soups are not something we typically enjoy/crave, but we suspected as much beforehand... and figured we'd try them at least once! On the other hand, we were pleasantly surprised at how good the dumplings were - good texture to both the skin and filling, tasty, and juicy. Would be keen to return and try some of the other noodle dishes, more dumplings, and I've also heard their sodas are pretty good so might try those too.

Referring to our visit last week, they make fresh noodles and boil it on spot at an order, It was so delicious and full house, we are happy and satisfied. We believe it is always the way it should be in order to keep happy customers. (Do not go back to warm soup added to cold noodles on bow and poor two thin sliced beef then a tea spoonful of pickles that we experienced last month, it will sent customers away! Cooks and staffs should not sitting around tables and take loud when they are not busy at work). Today we are delighted to write you comments and we'll come for your noodles again soon. Cheers!

Fresh made noodles on the spot by pros! Absolutely amazing shop! I wish it was its own restaurant outside the shopping centre! Absolutely amazing food, I always stop in when I go shopping.

Ate here for the first time ever today and I couldn't get enough. The food was fresh, hot and absolutely delicious. At first glance the meal was far too large, but soon after I had enjoyed every last drop. Will definitely be back again soon.

Having lived in china for years, I can tell you that this place has EVERYTHING you want in a noodle shop. 1. Always a line, even at odd hours. 2. Hand made noodles - of every thickness (my favourite is the thickest, 宽面). And 3. The broth and flavour is spot on. Best noodles I've had in years. I almost was speechless. You can't lose. If you don't like this place, you don't like noodles. If you don't know what to order, get standard noodles (Lanzhou beef noodles, 兰州牛肉面) with medium width noodle (they all taste the same).

Loved the food. Only tried a few things my first time around. Hope to find out more about the menu later. Not too expensive and quite delicious if you like Chinese noodle dishes(which can be customised) and cold Chinese dishes. There are a selection of dumplings too although the drinks selection could be bit bigger. I will definitely be coming back again.

Handmade noodle made live is interesting to watch. I bought prism noodles with braised beef soup. It tasted like regular noodles not al dente or bouncy for a similar high alkaline noodle like Japanese ramen. They make 5 types of handmade noodles - very thin, thin, thick, prism, flat. The beef used was top quality. Their soup was not to my liking it was tasting like plain watery beef stock with Asian spices. This place is self service and they have 2 counters. One for noodles and other for drinks & dumplings. Not very expensive. Costs $25-30 for 2.
