Best coffee in Woodend....and sustainable packaging. I've think I've tried all of the cafes in Woodend now and the Chamber gets my vote for best coffee (just ahead of the Village Larder). I recommend a strong latte. A nice old building (the old Council Chambers) and friendly owner. Plus, they use Biopak compostible cups and lids.

As a visitor staying in Woodend I have loved the coffee, food and wonderful staff. The atmosphere is very inviting. The outside area has plenty of room. I will be having many more coffees and lunch before I leave. Congratulations to you all at Al Caffe.

Sat outside today with friends at the cafe under the shade of a lovely tree. We had a lovely meal with great service and thoroughly enjoyed it. We were not hassled to leave and sat and chatted for over 3 hours, friendly kangaroo laying in the shade nearby and a couple of cheeky Rosellas wandering around nearby also. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a nice day out at Hanging Rock. When you have a meal there you get a free pass for your car to leave.

I cannot complain about the amazing food and incredible waiting staff, however the bar manager who introduced himself as Allan was nothing but rude and arrogant. What was a hectic night for the hotel, ended ruining our dining experience due to Allan's abrupt rude nature. Disappointed we had to wait outside for 30mins and told by Allan that 2 of his staff had passed out due to the heat. Allan hurried our orders and made us feel like we were and inconvenience. We would have expected a manager to be more accommodating and professional, not needing to know his staffing issues.

Absolutely the nicest burgers I've ever had. Also the chicken bites are to die for. Such high quality produce goes into the food and it makes all the difference! I look forward to my Friday night lekker every week
Cold pie, poor service. Lacks necessary sales process design- lots of business but disorganised and low quality control on service. Could be so much better. Probably just needs better management.
