I had a fantastic time at Siam South Bank last night. The service, atmosphere and food were top notch. It's a little tucked away compared to the other restuarants in the area but that just adds to the appeal. Will definately be dining there again and I recommend it whole-heartedly!

This restaurant deserves 5 stars. What a surprise to find this restaurant in Moorooka! The service was great (very attentive) & the food (wow)! The menu is different to other thai menus. They've made it unique yet it still has the usual thai favourites on there. The presentation of the food was also a nice surprise. They do take out as well as eat in. We choose to sit outside. My partner tried the soft shell crab & the BBQ duck (he loved both dishes. In fact we forgot to take a pic of the duck because he dug into it so quickly). The skin was super crispy! And I had the yellow curry with coconut rice. The best one I have tried! It had eggplant & pumpkin in which was a nice change to "just potato" like other Thai restaurants do. Impressive new restaurant in Moorooka! Eat here. You won't regret it.

Very friendly staff and amazing food - huge portions! Can't comment on atmosphere because there was a very big, very loud group table behind us when we went there, but decor was nice, food was authentic and staff genuinely wanted to make sure you'd had a good experience at their restaurant. Will definitely go back!

BRING THE BUFFET BACK!!!!! Delicious food but I really liked coming for the buffet to have a little sample of everything for good value. Really disappointed that they took it away. Also, sometimes the staff are a bit weird and come across as rude. I was told that they didn't have ice tea or lemonade when I could clearly see it in the fridge? kinda made me uncomfortable. Food is delicious though, would recommend :)

Had a wonderful meal, order was taken promptly and the timing between entree and main was perfect. Food was absolutely delicious and the waiter was able to help some of our party find their ideal meal based on their personal preferences. Excellent service, will be getting repeat business from myself and all others in the party.

I placed this on Northern Thai's review so I think you can get the picture if I just paste it here. I think that Northern Thai is a genuine locals quiet night out Thai restaurant. I also love "That Thai" (which is just up the road, and is perfect for a swanky but very affordable Thai dinner and is not much more expensive), but "That Thai" is easy to get sick of because it is a bit wanky. If you want to impress people, go to "That Thai", if you want a really nice "non-wanky" Thai meal go to Northern Thai. (I will place the same review under "That Thai") Just noted Slipping's review below, can I advise that its not that the quality if food changes, its just that it does get boring after a few visits (I am on about 7 now) because it is Thai that has been jazzed up for the Racecourse Road touch, dint get me wrong, it is very very good, but gets boring after a while beacuse it's a wanky menu.

Best Thai around Carseldine. Great food. Either dinning in or take away.

Most people have a local Thai restaurant, some good some bad, but we were pleased to discover ours is much better than average. Dinner with friends at Thai Chada on Saturday night was a great local experience. Attentive helpful service didn't mind us taking half an hour to chat and catch up before ordering. We had BYO white, so out came an ice bucket straight away. Our selection of starters were hot and delicious. For shared mains the winner was "Fish on Fire" - fried white fish with sweet chilli sauce, but all mains were tasty and generous. We regularly call on Thai Chada for takeaways, but our dining in experience was a fun reminder that we should eat locally more often.
Went there for BD meal with hubby & daughter, we were very pleased with the service and the food. Interesting that some suggest the decor and ambiance lacking, we felt quite the opposite. Would recommend giving it a go.
