Me and my husband were in the area when I searched for breakfast and the closest was the second wife cafe. When entered the cafe I wasn’t sure about my choice but when we were served…. oh I could say it was one of the best breakfasts I have had in a cafe. We had “Smashed in Japan” and “Real Wife’s Breakfast” which enjoyed both of them. The taste and also the look was fantastic. I would say they know what they do in the kitchen. Capuccino was also perfect and if the poached eggs were not overcooked and the long black was not too watery, I would have given them full marks. Any how we really enjoyed having breakfast in this rather small cafe, will go back whenever we get a chance and I strongly recommend it to others. Go for it, you won’t regret your choice😊.

Tea and lunch were nice. It'll be better if they have desserts on the menu

Lovely vibe lovely service. I’m a fussy porridge options for breakfast. Was fine. Not outstanding, but fine. If I was a savoury person I would have had lots of options

Aussie-Turkish-Japanese influenced dishes. Good coffee. Come here for an innovative twist on the standard in busy Box Hill. See notes on what to order. We liked the poached eggs with the panko fried eggplant. It came with Turkish sausage, but we replaced it with enoki mushrooms. The shakshuka however was unpleasantly sweet. The sauce was the culprit. Both dishes were accompanied by delicious toasted Turkish bread - texturally soft, pillowy layered and perfectly toasted.

Just okay - no real wow factor. It would be great to be greeted and served nicely. The food pics don't match the actual food that arrives :-(

This place is sweet and cozy for a nice brunch with friends. If you are someone who likes to spend time alone, then also this place does justice. The serving staff was friendly, we were served nicely and we felt welcomed from the time we stepped in. Cheers to them. My long black was perfect, and it made my day (my day starts at noon, lol). We ordered a range of cuisine from the menu, and to be honest, they added a distinct and likable flavour to those dishes. Seating arrangement was a little clumsy, but given the fact that the place had limited space, they have done pretty well in accommodating decent gathering. Good going guy, keep up the good work.

Ordered probably one of the most expensive dishes (Mexican bowl) on the menu and advised the host that I'm Vegatarian (do eat diary but no meat) but yet got served the Grilled Chicken dish where in she advised that it will be replaced by Tofu and then she quickly took the Grilled Chicken piece out of the dish and said I will bring some satay Tofu on the side. Well does not mean the same for a Vegan/Vegetarian as the Chicken has still had it's juices absorbed by Quinoa and brown rice + the corn cob served was tasting as if its drenched in Chicken juices as well - must be the same grill as its relatively a small place. Not a place for Vegetarians and especially Vegans I suppose - please WATCH OUT !
