13 Lyons St, Newstead
Lovely country town cafe. Plenty of seats under veranda for those with dogs (note the courtyard out back is not dog friendly for some reason). Coffee hot and food good. Standard cafe fare - solid, hearty but not over the top ‘City try hard’.
Staff were Obviously having a bad day. Rude, no service. Were told to order at counter then told by other staff to sit down and wait for order to be taken which never happened. Staff just walked off. Expected to wait far too long for simple order of coffee and toasted sandwich to be submitted. They didn’t even notice when we were walking out.
We had a delicious lunch here out in the sunny courtyard. The chai with honey was amazing.
Ordered a small coffee takeaway. Was given this really small coffee cup. When checking with the barista i was assured it was. So in comparison with others it comes in 15 mm lower in height and holds 70 ml less than any other small coffee cup .
Very good food. Lots of places to sit and eat. Different menus breakfast and lunch. Sells local wines.
This is a fantastic place to go. Great food, and great customer service. Thank you for a lovely day.
Charged $35 for coffee scrambled eggs, toast avocado and smoked salmon. Rediculous charge
Food looked very interesting, coffee cold.
Great spot for a coffee, dinner or lunch.
