Lovely local Thai restaurant, fresh really well prepared food with friendly service, perfect for us.

Have been going to Zab Isan for over 6 years now. Food is on point every time ! The staff are ever so beautiful too.

Consistency is important when eating food, this Thai is that and much more. Amazing flavours with the perfect blended balance to keep you wanting more. Generous servings, dine in or take away you’ll not be disappointed. Price is as much as anywhere but you most definitely are getting what you pay for, quality ingredients cooked by an experience hand to ensure your satisfaction. I’ve tried Thai in many cities and by far this is one of the best.

Most importantly the food was lovely. Tender satay sticks, scalding hot curry puffs, and a lovely curry all had an amazing taste and were cooked to perfection. Only two things were off... Point one, Thai iced coffee and iced tea. Now these drinks are traditionally very sweet, however, the way they were served yesterday (20th of June 2021), was not just sickly sweet but a step up to where black coffee doesn't actually have a taste any more. I feel like following a recipe card may not be helping your customers out here any more, perhaps you've changed syrups and not done a taste test since. Point 2. Service time. When we got there, the restaurant had 3 active tables and then us, not exactly a massive bunch. We were on a 45 minute break to our busy schedule and had little to no time to waste. So when our food still wasn't present at time 040, we unfortunately had to get it takeaway to consume later, with exception of our entree, which came out 20 minutes prior. Now when offering a lunch special, it's imperative that they are prepared as a quick money maker, at least that's what Gordon Ramsay says on his tv show. I would prefer to see quick options listed for lunch, rather than treating lunch specials as normal dishes that are just cheaper to choose. Again it's a real Shame, the lunch we ate for dinner was really well made, but unfortunately unlike many people in Burleigh, we just didn't have the time to wait there. If you have a slightly extended period of time for food consumption, and you're walking past here, choose it for sure!!👍

A great Thai restaurant. We ordered the basil beef and chilli, green curry chicken with coconut rice. When the meal was delivered to table the beef was minced instead of sliced. Flavour was great. Green curry was a little soupy but once again flavour was great. Restaurant was very busy. Worth a try.

Unfortunately terrible! We had a booking at 645pm and were directed to an indoor table even though we had requested outdoor seating. We were left with nothing.. no offer of water or wine glasses from the BYO that we were told was fine. After 1/2 an hour of no service I went to the unmanned bar and grabbed 2 wine glasses. After another 1/2 hour I had to flag the waiter done for the drinks that were ordered for my children an hour ago. They had lost the order and we had to reorder. Watching patrons come into the restaurant and be served food before our order was beyond frustrating. It was like our table had been forgotten. I would like to give a food review but considering after 2 hours of only receiving an entree and 1 main we decided to leave I cannot give an accurate review. No apology or acknowledgment from staff that we had been politely waiting for all that time and decided to leave half way through the meal. If I could give 0 stars I would. Would not recommend

Four of us went there last night ordered beef cheeks quite explicitly clarified two without chilli repeated twice. When the food arrived it was quite literally swimming in the sauce and also extremely hot chilli included. To say sorry is not good enough two of us obviously had no dinner. John

Only got a seafood fried rice, it was so nice to have scallops! The food was beautiful and cooked well. Really great selection of seafood in the dish. Would definitely recommend.

This is the place if you want great Thai food, reasonably priced, really good portions and super tasty. Staff were excellent and the service was pretty quick, even when they were busy. Give them a crack..
