Xin Jiang Noodle Restaurant

Had the Cumin Chicken fried noodles. Was lacking flavour but still alright. The reason for the 1 star is because they used frozen pork to make pork bites, which is fine as long as you're not biting into semi raw meat. Had hopes for this place.

A casual place with delicious noodle dishes.

Went to it once and now this restaurant has become a family favourite. It is very traditional in its decor but is spacious with beautiful mahogany tables and chairs. There might be some who prefer a modernised look but it can be easily overlooked with the quality of the food. The noodles are the best by far with its wonderful blend of taste and texture. The portions are generous with the noodles than other ingredients but it all works together to create an abundant meal. They also make delectable homemade dumplings that is worth a try. Compared to all other noodle chains, there is a strong family element that shows through the food and is majorly healthy with no MSGs used. A rare find in Hurstville for true homemade noodles which deserves much more praise!

The food is great there. Would be better if they turn on air con or a fan.

There is a Hand-made noodles craze in Sydney right now with many new stores opening (especially one close by)..This one, however, is Highly Underrated. Usually very quiet and unassuming, the decor inside is a bit more impressive. Although it was probably the only handmade noodles joint in hurstville up until recently, it still has the best value for money. I always walk away satisfied.. Top choice for me right now is Cumin noodles (孜然炒面) The naan bread was surprisingly addictive for only $3.5 (had to order seconds) The owner and waitresses are nice and eager to take your order.

Long Waiting Time. Smelly. The food is terrible. THIS IS NOT A PLACE TO ENJOY FOOD.

If you're tired of the same-same flavours of Cantonese cuisine done in an Aussie way then this place is for you. The menu is extensive but the overriding flavour of Xin Jiang noodle is easy to recognise. Full, warming, balanced between oil and texture the food here is delicious. Look out for the hint of Western flavours coming in from the days of walking the Silk road. Free open WiFi and that's forward thinking. Chairs and tables are solid state, top quality wooden restaurant chairs. Art on the walls shows the tall mountains of the province, and the mirror running along one wall keeps the good Feng Shui in. Service was excellent, just don't expect the waiter to bring you a beer if you ask for one.

Picture is a collage of some of the things I ate tonight, good service, decent pricing, and very tasty food, highly recommend you get the lamb skewers with chilli, and request some chilli oil for the lamb and dumpling noodle soups, just to add a kick. The lamb pancake was very tasty and not too oily, and had a decent amount of soup inside. Good portions, and strong flavours.
