Winkel Cafe

This is just excellent value for money for tasty food and good coffee. Came in on a Sunday morning and we had the savoury French toast, pancakes, brekkie roll and the big breakfast. The size of the big breakfast is enough for two people and the price of everything on the menu is the best value I've seen at a Cafe in Melbourne for years. Very friendly staff, you won't be disappointed!

This place is lovely with such friendly owners. We had an amazing brunch here. We just randomly found it. But what a good luck, ey!! I think it is a family owned business (at least it looks like that). The lady and gentleman working there were so lovely and obviously the food was so delicious as well. I highly recommend them. Please go and support this business.

Amazing little café. The food was good and the service too. I ordered the big breakfast and I have to warn you that it is a very big plate. Lots of food, maybe too much....but that's just a preference. Will come back again.

Ordered an oat latte and the veggie big breakfast. The coffee was the great and the big breakfast was huge! Great food, coffee and friendly staff. Even offered me the wifi password.

If you’re after amazing food and great hospitality these is the place to go! We were greeting with a lovely smile by the store owner upon entering the lovely decorated corner cafe. The menu has plenty of options in the food as well as beverage department! I opted for the big breakfast which did not disappoint! It came with everything expected (see pic) The chorizo was a person favourite for me. Also the hot chocolate was probably one of the best I’ve had in years, amazing barista work by the owner. Will definitely be going back next time I’m in the area

2 coffees and a bacon and egg roll completely turned my day around from awful to a little bit better. The smiling workers/(I assume) owners, make you feel very welcome and can see they are very appreciative of the business support after the difficult 2 years we have had. I can't reccomend this cafe highly enough, my only regret is that I didn't find it sooner! I would recommend coming here for both a quiet coffee with breakfast and in a group, as whilst the shop is not huge, it is not small by any means and would be able to cater to different people. Just now I also noticed a dog water bowl outside, and a random person walking past allowing their dogs to take a drink while moving on... It's the small things Edit: it's now day 2 and I have come back. Google won't let me write a second review.... Absolutely perfect!! After writing the review yesterday I realiyI had forgotten my wallet and they were very understanding and patient for me to go and retrieve it, I offered to leave my phone as collateral. I am really overwhelmed by this place, it really is top notch!!

Best coffee I’ve had in the area. Unassuming little spot, simple aesthetic decor and a subtle palette creates a chill vibe, as do of course the friendly staff and unique, pleasant beats.

I LOVE winkle, the owners are the nicest people, they opened 3 months ago and the food is delicious, cooked and presented beautifully. Our little kids can play at the back in the hidden garden whilst we enjoy our tasty coffees. It's our favourite spot in Richmond now. A real gem.

We were looking for somewhere else when I spontaneously stopped at Winkel. Best move I made. Great coffee. Beautiful service and my Chili Scrambled eggs with bacon was perfection 🥰 Fresh squeezed breakfast juice replenished. Thank you 💜

I don’t care how long I had to wait for the food, these are the best pancakes I’ve ever had in Melbourne. Nay, my life. 🥞 They threw in some blueberries too. It’s such a cute cafe too. Plenty of seating, inside and outdoors. And the guy running the place is The Most Polite person. Absolutely fantastic coffee too ☕️
