I came in with high expectations because I looked at the menu prior and everything seemed unique, but ultimately was quite disappointed (maybe I just chose the wrong dishes?). The lamb shanks and duck we ordered was deep fried (unexpectedly). The flavours were awesome and the lamb would've been perfect if it had more sauces as it was dry (the splash of mayo did nothing) and the crispy duck batter was not enjoyable, we ended up taking off the batter and the duck portion was tiny without the batter π
.
The balmain bug dumplings were okay, I liked the vinegar sauce it went well with the saltiness of the dumpling.
For the quality and portions sizes it was not worth the pricey bill imo, we had just eaten at the boathouse the night before so that's what I'm comparing this to.
The waitress was lovely though and very attentive, decor was pleasant.
