Great food
Great food and service
Impressed by the quality of the food. Every dishes was 10/10. Especially loved the special fish of the day which is perfectly cooked. Appreciation to the head chef and all the team members. Attentive services as well as reasonable price. Really enjoyed our lunch in here with a wonderful sea view to go along. Looking forward to our next visit while we are in the area.
Perfect Lunch Date ✅ Glad to be back at Whalebone Wharf after the flood. ♥️ As if nothing happened a couple of weeks ago! Awesome comeback! ☀️ such a blessing! As always, wonderful dining experience 😀 ✅ stunning water views ✅sumptuous food ✅strong and yummy cocktail ✅above all, great customer experience(shout out to Dylan and Emily for delivering awesome customer service - keep it up! 🥂 And great to see Nathan (Owner) smiling ☀️ Congratulations to all the people running this legendary restaurant in Port Macquarie 🎉
Delicious seafood with attentive but not over the top service. We had the best seat in the restaurant and it was a great afternoon and did not feel rushed at all. Enjoyed the scallop special for entree and the barramundi with extra prawns for a main. The price of the main includes a side which is served separately so you can share with the table. We got the brussel sprouts, roasted pumpkin and my dad couldn't resist the hot chips. Highly recommended!
If you order crumbed or battered fish you have wasted the money you spend here. The decor and atmosphere are top notch as is the food for the most part. The Prawns were rubbery (an additional $10 for two king prawns on your plate) however the flavour was beautiful. Soft drinks are over priced ($5 for a thin sprite. ie, the glass I have pictured). Deserts were wonderful and I left full and satisfied. Overall a pleasant dining experience. Points removed for drinks prices and overcooked prawns.
What a great place. The riverside building is impressive, the fit-out tasteful and inviting. James the manager, really professional and welcoming. Our waitress, Liv, also professional and friendly. None of this, of course, means the food would be good. But the food was fantastic. From the diverse tastes of a seafood charcuterie to perfectly cooked fish, and side dishes that were sensational (roasted pumpkin with sumac and tahini amazing). With the demise of the Boathouse here in Sydney, I wish we had Whalebone here. If in Port, do go!
We had a lovely dinner the food was cooked superbly and the staff were all very friendly. I haven’t enjoyed a night out like this in a long time. I felt we were well looked after. The staff didn’t hover over us but we also didn’t have empty glass for long. There was nice amount of time between each course and not rushed. I would recommend to anyone to try here if you like seafood
Food was delicious service abit slow but that being said was a busy weekend night so understandable. Worth the price. Great place to take someone on a date night or dinner with friends.
The sitting and service were great. Everyone was happy with the quality and flavour of the food. $330 total bill for 4 people- including 10% Sunday surcharge(?). I did not leave the tip due to the surcharge but hope the restaurant would to their staffs. The service was great.
