Great food, great atmosphere, horrible service and attitude of the owner. There was only him on the floor on Sunday night, the service was slow when we even mentioned that we had to leave by certain time and he said there was no problem. At first, we thought he was friendly but many of his jokes were actually rude, when we were ordering, he even cut us a few times to do other things which was lacking respect. The worst was when my dessert came out to be something unexpected, fully covered by red colored fake strawberry flavored syrup that wasn’t edible (it didn’t even taste anything like strawberry but a cough syrup). I politely asked if they could provide the fried banana without the syrup and fake choc sauce all over it, simply fried banana and vanilla ice cream as per the menu description. He became very aggressive and rude saying that they can’t do that and even lied that the strawberry sauce was mentioned on the menu. There is a way to say no even when you have to say no and he clearly has no clue of customer service or being polite as a person. This guy was so rude almost yelling at me, telling me to “speak up” when I was trying to keep calm and stay polite, just telling him that he didn’t have to be so rude and aggressive over a silly $7,50 dessert and I wasn’t even asking him to remove it from the bill. He has managed to ruin our night , and he even said he didn’t care that I had bad experience. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Really enjoyed the food here and will be back again. Highly recommend the Sate Manis Sapi and the Ubud Rijsttafel is an excellent sampler of many different Ubud dishes.

Amazing food. Have to fly to Indonesia for better. Warm welcome. Beautiful food. Can't fault it. Can't wait to go back.

Great Food, great environment and one of the best wait staff team. David was super funny, helpful and entertaining and took our dinner experience to new heights. LOVED IT

Went here as a last minute dinner, although it was late they still welcomed us warmly. Food was delicious, and David is a super host. Highly recommend!!

One of the rare indo restaurants in Sydney with comfortable, classy seating options. food is top notch, and David the owner is very hospitable. will be back.

Great food, great atmosphere, horrible service Can’t say enough good things about the beautiful food, the decor, and Nyamnum (which is why I’m giving 2 star instead of 1). However the other server named David and the dog slow speed of service nearly ruined the night (Saturday 17 April). We ordered drinks (which took forever to get) but when we ordered our food, no exaggeration David said something to the effect of “you all are a headache” because there was 10 adults and 4 kids (which we booked for so they knew we were coming) and David was not happy and visibly irritated with us for everything from who is sharing or not sharing to my friend changing his mind on one meal. When the food started coming David told us at least one more time (maybe twice) that we were a headache again. When this happened I asked the other server Nyamnum to take care of us and to keep David away because he was toxic. We remained really nice and upbeat and I wanted it to stay that way. Nyamnum sincerely apologised, was amazing, upbeat, and funny the entire time while David stayed away. In David’s defence they were very much under staffed and our four kids didn’t help by knocking over the bottle of water twice. I noticed this was mentioned in other reviews which means upper management or the owner are possibly too cheap to bring on more staff. This could be the reason (no exaggeration) the last order came out 2 hours after ordering which happened to be for our friend that is a regular and recommended the restaurant to us. The icing on the cake is when we wanted to pay the bill and there was a problem with the machine that wouldn’t print the prices on the bill so we had to work out each person’s bill by hand and it took forever. David didn’t help by yelling over to Nyamnum something to the effect of “we better be making some money”. All up we were there 4 hours because of the slow service. I’m a motivational speaker and therefore easy to find on social media so I welcome anyone’s call or message for more information.
