Turpan Restuarant

Fri ~12:15pm 29-May-2021. The food is good but overpriced in my opinion. I tried the shredded potato vegetarian dish, 15.80$ seems a bit too much. See photo. I might consider some homemade noodles or dumplings next time.

The food at this place do not taste as good as they used to be years ago.

Went on a recommendation from a friend and it was very surprising! The food was well cooked and came out all together - it was a pleasant surprise that there are so many dumplings in a single dish! The eggplant dish is delicious with lots of fresh garlic in the sauce and the lamb cumin skewers are a must. Worked out to be a good meal cost wise too.

I went for dinner tonight, and it was so yummy! The chicken & mushroom dumplings were AMAZING!! They had heaps of dishes to choose from, and the Turpan eggplant was really tasty. The portions were generous, price was reasonable and the staff were super polite & attentive. I'll definitely be back!

Turpan serves up authentic Xinjiang cuisine and is quite well known in the area for its dapanji. Although I do believe the prices are quite high for what it's worth ($18 for fried noodles), the restaurants hand made noodles and dumplings are worth a shot. Or, you could be like me and head there for lunch for an excellent beef brisket or chicken noodle soup for a decent $11. The food is good, but I thing the service does need to improve slightly and the prices, lowered.

Nice food,friendly staff

We’ve been coming here for years now. Its a hidden gem in Sydney and the food is amazing. Its like chinese food with a twist of middle eastern flavors as its from the Xinjiang province. The chef has ensured the taste remains consistent over the years.

The atmosphere can be improved, the food was nice but didn’t feel like anything with “ wouaaaah factor “ Will definitely go back to try different dish.

Too salty and spicy... not my kind of food.
