The big smokehouse

I did not expect to find American style barbecue on the outskirts of Cairns, but here it is. This place is good. The beef short ribs were just like in Georgia. Extra points for coleslaw and potato salad that were not sweet. Serving sizes are generous. Strongly recommended.

This place just opened recently and is an individual brand. I thought it's a part of a franchise but it's not. The food was delicious and the price was Really good. My friend and me had a Brisket Burger (24h smoked beef) with chips and a drink. 17$ each for a burger meal. The staff was very friendly, especially the girl with the black hair. She answered every question and was professional as well. The only thing I did not like was the packaging of the food. We ate as dine in guests and would have expected plates instead of take away packaging. Another thing is the chairs/tables are almost the same height which makes it a little difficult to eat. But this both does not bother me much, as it is a new restaurant. Foody, price and staff was great. Therefore 5 stars and I wish them their best!

Great food Guys best Burger in Cairns I had the Brisket burger and chips just sensational!

We had dinner here tonight because of a recommendation from a burger-obsessed friend of ours suggested that the brisket burger at the big smokehouse is the best burger in Cairns. The business is only three months old with a fresh fit out but in quite a small suburban shopping village. The menu is quite small and it’s clear these guys know what they do well. They are not pretending to be a standard Aussie corner fish and chip joint and only do interesting smoked meats and burgers. We had the brisket burger and the buttermilk chicken burger with a side of chips and a side of buttermilk chicken. Everything we had was fantastic! We will definitely return here again. Some of the previous reviewers mentioned the staff were rude but they were friendly and attentive tonight, and we saw no rudeness.

We been waiting for a bit. But it was worthy. Great food, friendly staffs. We will definitely go back again soon. Highly recommend!

We stayed round the corner from this place and ate there multiple times. Best ribs we've ever had (beef) and the loaded fries are really something special, probably the highlight of the entire menu. Topped off with friendly service and a nice chat, highly recommend!!

We ordered a family pack tonight, it was really great and the kids enjoyed it so much! The smokehouse bbq sauce on the ribs was amazing.

Long wait, ribs are very small . The burger was great Would recommend only to try , order delivery as its no quicker than waiting in store

If you want ribs, this is the place to go.. Beautiful tender delicious.. And their gorgeous juicy burgers, so sooo good...Will definitely be going back again.. 👍👌👊👏
