love this place!
Service was great and friendly! Food was bloody amazing! The fish tacos came out and smelled delicious. The fish was crunchy and paired well with the salsa and soft wrap The Deep South was DELICIOUS. The chicken was fried perfectly and immediately crunched into with the toasted sourdough. The mustard added a nice kick to it The French Toast was a thick cut and soft. The icecream and homemade caramel was not overly sweet, which was perfect for us. The fruits were fresh and plentiful!
This cafe is in such an unassuming spot that we're lucky to have found it! Portions are quite big and definitely shareable, with lots of space for puppy friends to hang out and decent prices. The fish tacos are the standout dish, but the chicken sandwich, truffled eggs and french toast were also good. There's pretty much something for everyone, just that you have to travel out for it!
Hidden Gem never knew they existed till yesterday when I went. I was left speechless with the decor of the place made me feel like sitting a beautiful garden and enjoying breakfast. We had burger and scramble eggs large coffees which was cheap. Very impressed recommend for anyone who loves plants go there you wonβt regret it. The staff are awesome and friendly good service as well.
Googled a local place to have smashed Avocado and poached eggs. Ended up at the old boy. Great atmosphere friendly staff and yummy food. Presention of my Avo and eggs was above what I expected. The decor is funky and inviting. I highly recommend coming here.
Great coffee and food. A little gem in Blacktown.
Great food options, good coffee. For a small venue they can get busy at times but staff never falter - always great service.
My friends and I had such a great experience here for brunch! We all got the mushrooms and kale on toast and it was delicious. Dana is lovely and makes excellent coffee too; my long black was great! I didnβt get the name of the other staff member that was there today but she was also awesome. Will definitely come again :)
Nice ambience and well presented cafe. I ordered a spicy Chicken burger. The schnitzel was overcooked and too hard to chew. The bun was burnt and loaded with sauce or spiced mayo which was not pairing with the food. The fries was way too salty. Could not finish the food. Coffee was ok however the quality has dropped from when the cafe first opened. Disappointing experience for me unfortunately. Hopefully they improve the focus on quality and good food.
Great food and customer service once we were in. Nearly lost faith when we were left outside for a little too long before getting acknowledged. That system definitely needs a revamp as someone walked in in front of us and it appeared they had pushed in.... maybe there was a booking. Prices are fair for what you get, great flavour combinations and simple but hearty menu. Definitely a gem for the area lacking anything remotely as nice as old boy.
