Big drinks menu with something for everyone. Food was the highlight, the cheddar and sour chives with sourdough was refreshing, Although the pork cheek was a small plate, in many Sydney eateries, this would be a main, the pork cheek was incredibly tasty and the apples paired perfectly with the dish. The roasted vegetables with yoghurt were the highlight for my partner, and I loved the seafood pizza. Highly recommended.

Dropped into the Metz on a Sunday night before the Queen’s Birthday for a quiet crack at some local whiskies. James behind the bar was extremely on-top of things (despite it being very busy) and was really enthusiastic and knowledgeable in guiding me through a few tasty Tasmanian single malts. Really positive experience and I’ll definitely be back the next time I’m in Launceston. Heartily recommend.

Delicious food. Meals did take a tiny bit to come out but they were worth it. We ordered desserts also, they were tasty but not mind blowing.

I visited Metz one year ago and I just had to go back again whilst in Launceston recently. I was with my friend and we were again blown away with the fantastic service we received from all staff members including the owner who also serves her patrons. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming and the menu is to die for. Holly actually remembered me which was amazing as they would serve thousands of people in a year. If you are ever in Launceston I highly recommend dining at The Metz you will love it. Fresh oysters, glorious calamari, perfect pizza's just to mention a few. Five stars! Excellent food and atmosphere, and a very well stocked bar. I can recommend the calamari salad, but all of the food looked good. I had to book two days in advance over Easter but it was worth it.

The service was great the food was mediocre good atmosphere the seating needs to be sorted out better as i was on the side of a 2 person table which felt really awkward i would not go back

My husband and i had dinner here last night. It was delicious and the service was spot on. The dining room was comfortable with a lovely ambience, The wine and gin selection was amazing. totally enjoyed our experience

We had our wedding anniversary dinner and the experience was second to none. All the staff came and congratulated us and made sure we were attended to for our every need. The food was incredibly fresh and tasty. Beef short ribs were the best I've had. Cocktails were on point and served with enough time to enjoy them before the meals came out. Kids had colouring in to keep them occupied and a good selection of meals and desserts to keep them happy. One of the best dining experiences in a while, we'll definitely be back!
