Barrack Street Jetty 6000, Perth
Great view. Decent pub grub. Service a little slow.
Not as lucky as the name suggests but I do like it
Open area with views lots of seating and evenings you have heaters outside. Not a big selection of food but reasonably quick at serving considering how busy it did get. Bar staff -great service. The set up is great-looks good. All sorts of age ranges. Smart casual.
Would get five stars if the foxtel was in HD...not blurry vision SD
Very average food, but nice location for a drink
Really good selection of local beers on tap. The food was tasty and the deck provided a lovely view of the river at sunset.
The tall manager threatened and abused me after I told him that the beer wasn't cold. I had already spoken to 3 other staff members who all scoffed at me and showed bitter resentment at my complaint. So I decided to speak to the manager directly. There was no ice on the taps and when given our drinks they were only slightly cooler than the ambient temperature. We tried the bottled beer next thinking it would've been cold out of the fridge only to find they were even warmer than the beer on tap. I was not offered any recognition at all towards my concern. Instead I was aggressively threatened by the manager and stood over by him and a huge security guard. I was shouted at while he staunched himself over me in a threating manner. I started to leave and he decided to keep yelling at me aggressively, finally yelling at me that I better not return to the bar. I had to laugh, and just kept walking right out of there. I will never return. I am going to lodge a complaint with the ombudsman. Absolutely the craziest behaviour I have ever witnessed by a publican. Such a simple concern that could've been so easily resolved with a friendly and polite manner. I was simply and honestly just trying to inform him that his refrigeration wasn't keeping the beer cold.
The venue is in a good location by the river. Alcohol was a bit expensive for my tastes. The food was lovely. One or two staff members didn't seem overly keen to help when we asked for a table for 12.
Tonight my husband and I got takeaway burgers from this place. We didnt mind the long wait in anticipation of great burgers. Sadly that was not the case. This was hands down the worst burger I have ever had in my life. The burger bun itself was like a solid brick, there was a small amount of brisket in there, along with slices of fat. The brisket itself was tough and chewy. There was some very soggy coleslaw and two slices of pickles. The burger was almost completely inedible. Its lucky the chips were quite nice or I would have walked the next 8km on an empty stomach. Very very disappointing.
One of Perths well know places down on Barrack Street Jetty by the Bell Tower. Been here many times and will keep coming back. Amazing location on the water with great pub grub for any occasion. They have live music on weekends too to create a great atmosphere for catch ups. Always a good time here
