The Local Shack

I realize experienced staff are hard to get these days and this was on full display when we had breakfast at the Shack on Sunday morning. The three coffees ordered to accompany our breakfast were brought to the table at various times. Two had more coffee in the saucer than the cup and one turned up as almond milk which we definitely didn't order. The waitress asked if we were sure we didn't order almond milk. We were sure! Breakfast turned up 45 minutes after we ordered. It was a simple order; to serves of poached eggs and one of scrambled eggs. You guessed it, we got two serves of scrambled eggs and one of poached. By the time the order was corrected an hour had passed. The sourdough "toast" was nothing more than warm bread. I blame management for such a poor experience at the Shack. Surely a senior staff member should have been on duty to support the inexperienced team. Won't be back.

The burgers and drinks were nice however chips didn't come complimentary with the burger. I think given the price, chips should have come with the burger at no extra cost.

Excellent prices for the meal sizes. Would have been 5 stars except for the 75 minute wait for food. Edit : Given the near immediate feedback reply from the management team I've given them an extra star (from 3 to 4 ) and I will try the place again.

Burger with no chips? Slow service. No spoon provided for Banana Split. No napkins or utensils on my table. Table was not wiped down when we were seated. Average experience. I won't be rushing back.

We wandered in here early on a not particularly busy Friday night. I stood at the bar for approximately 5 minutes without being acknowledged, although there was someone in front of me serving one other customer at the bar (they were having trouble with a beer tap - I understand that this happens so I was patient). When another staff member came to the bar I tried to order. She asked me if I could go to the front desk to order. I explained I only wanted 2 beers but said ok, no worries. As I walked away she changed her mind and put my order through and was told the drinks would come to the table. We waited approximately 20 minutes at which point I returned to the girl who had served me and asked about it. She said she thought our order was next (it seems that a drinks order goes in the queue behind the food orders and gets poured when all the tables have been bussed). A few more minutes we finally had our beer. We would have stayed for several beers and a feed but 30 minutes to get a beer didn't really have us in the mood. It's a shame because the location is awesome and has great potential. I have just moved to the area and I will return again and hopefully be able to change this review.

7 of us went for late lunch on Mothers Day. They could not get the order for 7 of us correct to ai point of us all feeling annoyed. The chips were hard and under cooked, the beef burger was still red inside. Non of us were impressed by the food.

I always enjoy the spicy cheeseburger @ Joondalup the store!!! although I do have a private matter to consult with upper management about one employee. Do you guys have a customer email?

Burger was a disgrace, 3 pickles and half a bottle of tomato sauce? I’ve had better at hungry jacks. Cheesy garlic bread had no garlic..... To top it off signs everywhere saying $2 milk shakes, go to order and say sorry only for members and only 1 per table... ? Never again.

Had to wait ages for food even though it was quiet then our food was wrong had to wait even longer. Finally got our food and was very bland (hollandaise sauce )and poach eggs were very watery. Not worth the money i spent
