Usually a restaurant that has over 4 stars would produce exeptional FRESH food that does not hit the table in under 5 minutes. Firstly, a pretzel for around $6 which was the start of our dining exerience was served barely warm with no flavour. For mains, we tried soft skin pork hock and the Gegrillter Kassler. As stated, our food hit the table in under 5 minutes and was lukewarm. I cannot believe the way the pork hock was presented to me it was very offputting. As it hit the table it jiggled just like jelly on a plate as it was full of indedible fat. All the jus seemed to have been absorbed into the fat; the jus should have been served in a sauciere as it had good flavour. The potato mash and meat had decent flavour but overall the appearance and presentation affected my apetite. For the 'chargrilled pork chop', the texture and flavour was like biting into a leg of ham during Christmas. The jus was also nice in this meal, as was the potato mash. Furthemore, the sauerkraut was ok, but there should have been more mash. Laslty, the ham dish was certaintly overpriced for $35 and the pork hock should be served without the fat, the serving size should be smaller and also reasonably priced.
