Beer selection is top notch, fast friendly service, just don't use the ordering app, can take an extra 10 minutes for the drink to arrive, yes we did the test, order in person and via the app. Food has lots of flavour and not to long of a wait.

Booked a table for 20 people. What a shambles no body knew what was going on had a table for 6 once I moved my own table and chairs around to make close enough to 20 couldn’t walk or move around. Sorry to the other table that was behind us there was no way they could move with long bench seats. Dinner was good beers were too. Big groups / Birthdays avoid the place lucky its a 2 star review

A shadow of it's former self. Maybe I have romanticised this place. I have distant memories from before the fire that put a hold on everything Guildford Hotel for a while, and from shortly after the rebuild. Unfortunately that history is just history now. Parts of the old pub have been sold off and The Guildford itself is only part of the building. (And yet there's still nowhere to park) Yes, it's busy, so maybe I'm in the minority here, but the graffiti and the flickering light in the men's toilet.. The decidedly second hand looking tables we were seated at.. just seems like a missed opportunity for some finishing touches. The food was ok - well, I liked mine (I had the brisket) - I wouldn't call the servings "generous" for the price, but the meat was average to good for smoked brisket. Others in our group had the ribs ('dry' was one comment I heard) and the fish (the suggestion was that it was overly battered with too much flour). The buttermilk chicken and the Mac and cheese bites were good though. Beers - 18 taps, not one of them either Australian or independently owned (this ain't your local anymore, it's a beer giant owned money maker now) - the "guest tap" had been another of the parent companies lines, but they had run out and had nothing to replace it with.. With so many great venues both big and small, I don't think we'll be rushing back to The Guildford, which is quite sad considering it's long history.

My partner and I visited on a busy Friday night where there was a much longer wait than usual on food. We ended up waiting over an hour for 2 burgers but what made up for it was the lovely staff member Chelsea who did her best to accomodate us and did it all with a smile and awesome attitude. During a chaotic service like that one having staff like Chelsea make all the difference!

Enjoyed the atmosphere mostly. The food was not out altogether and it got a little awkward. Bar staff fantastic well done . I think the food could of been better but maybe to busy

Came for lunch over the long weekend, the venue was heaving. There were long waits on food but we were made aware when we arrived. Food was amazing, staff really friendly and helpful even when busy, can’t fault this amazing venue. Well done

A Historic Pub beautifuly restored from 2008 fire even keeping the burned out floors and restoring the fire places and keeping many of the original features. This was my first visit but I discovered immediately that they are pumping out outstanding food visited with some mates the cheeseburger spring rolls were the star of the show followed closely by the buttermilk chicken bites. This pub is a win.

I visited the Guildford place thanks to word of mouth. To be honest I was a bit sceptical, as it is just pub food . But I must admit Guildford didn't disappoint. The venue is beautiful thanks to preservation of its history from the walls to the fire place. I highly recommend the place for events. Especially weddings... They say a good burger is determined by quality of the meat and Guildford cheeseburger does meet the criteria. And top it all the staff were friendly. The only downside is, I found their high chairs to be a bit uncomfortable. But all in all. If you are looking for a good pub food I recommend the place. Will definitely come back.
