The Grounds of Alexandria

I and my husband went there for dinner. The food was way too expensive (almost double the price of other restaurants ) and the taste was quite average. We waited one hour for the food and they charged us wrong at the end, lucky we checked our bill. Also we were surprised to find out that we were not the only one charged wrong! The atmosphere was very good and nice but I won't recommend anyone this place as I think food is main purpose of a restaurant isn't it?

Wow just wow. This place has to be experienced to believe. The food, and food prep areas, is just amazing. Coffee and roasters fantastic. The staff are professional, accommodating and friendly. You won't regret visiting!

This place creates an atmosphere like no other... The Grounds of Alexandria is one of (if not) the best places in this beautiful city to eat, drink or just enjoy the beautiful gardens that are immaculately kept along with many different farm animals that live incredibly happy and healthy lives.... always recommending this gorgeous place to all of my friends.

Set in a beautiful garden like location, with gourmet food stalls all along the side walk is the ground of Alexandria. Their menu is full of what I'd call comfort food. I decided to try out their chicken pie. What came out was a massive casserole sized pie with delicious crunchy pastry. I heard a lot of great reviews from friends and I am not disappointed.

worth a visit good quality coffee and lots of people and markets

My kidneys are hurting - ordered an omelette and tasted like eating salt. Coffee was so-so.

This place is great! Try to come here on a weekday though because it is packed on weekends. Came here on a Thursday with a group on 8 and only waited 5 minutes before a table was ready. The food was great and the service was wonderful. Great concept and the cake stand near the cafe is so cute!
